Last week I tried to read a new book, Witchcraft for Wayward Girls and abandoned it. I don't know what it is about me and Grady Hendrix, but I just don't really like his stuff. I cannot really tell you why. In this book, particularly, he sorta seems sneering and arrogant, as if he is a guy I wouldn't like if I met him, and his personality just leaks through into his writing, if that makes any sense at all.

I have also failed to read Horrorstor and put it on my "never read" shelf (don't remember why) and also abandoned We Sold Our Souls. I did read My Best Friend's Exorcism and The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires, but I wasn't that crazy about them. The only one I seemed to have I liked was The Final Girl Support Group, which I really do not remember

I thought I might read his How to Sell a Haunted House, which has been on my list for a while, but now I am not sure I will bother. Has anyone read it? What do you think? Is it just me?

I read Horrorstör, which was totally tongue-in-cheek, like watching the movie Army of Darkness. While the concept was funny, the book itself was not all that interesting. It was a very quick audio read, or I probably would not have read it.
