This is such an unpopular opinion but i feel as though im not as invested in onyx storm as i wish to be. I liked fourth wing, iron flame got better past 50 percent and onyx storm isnt intoxicating like everyone else is finding it to be. My main reason is the same relationship dynamic throughout the series “i want to be with you but i cant” - idk take it as a sign u shouldn’t be together 😭 also ive had enough of xadens broodiness (just to mention i love aaric and was hoping for a love triangle, dw i havent given up hope)

p.s. aside from the romance the plot is really good

Onyx Storm was disappointing to me. It was mostly a filler book imo. My least favorite in the series so far.

Seen people is bound to happen to the third book of a long series. And taking in consideration that with Onyx Storm we are 50% done with the series, it makes it a filler book with more world building and prepping us to the climax of book 4 and the spiraling fall of the finale of book 5

I finished it last week, and I think the first 2/3rds was filler 😒 but yeah, I also found it boring too. The island hopping section was particularly crap imo 😂
