Do I need to read THG trilogy before reading SROTR

I’ve watched all the movies and don’t really want to go back and read the other books but my friend got me a copy of sunrise on the reaping and I really want to read it.

i would definitely recommend it! there's things in the books that were left out of the movies, and honestly i think reading the books is a better experience than watching the movies because you can feel and understand the characters' pain better <3
