1. Please be kind to your fellow role players. You will respect them, you will not say words of hatred to them outside of role playing. Any cyber bullying is to be reported to one of the mods, and the person at fault will be removed from the group if they receive more than one warning, their characters deleted or put up to be claimed by another member.
2. Swearing is acceptable in role play, but don't over do it. In out of character chat, you can swear but no heavy swearing at another member, which counts as cyber bullying, as read above.
3. When role playing, be detailed. Be descriptive, it makes everyone happy!
4. The world is your oyster so do not be shy to request a stage/setting for where you would like to role play.
5. Although I do not allow explicit sexual content, the world that this game will be set in will contain some dark and at times gruesome plot lines and/or characters. Please take this into consideration before joining if you are not comfortable with the subject matter.
6. When you wish to RP in a thread, establish a posting order with the other player(s) and try to stick to that order unless one of you specifies otherwise (i.e. "Okay, my character is leaving the scene now so you two go on ahead).
7. Do not "jump into a scene" unless you have permission from the other players beforehand (i.e. "Hey, mind if my guy joins in?").
8. Do not spam/clutter RP threads with out of game comments. If you do post them that's fine but make sure to delete them within a 24 hour period. If you wish to chat and/or plot, use the Chat thread.
9. Do not RP with one character in more than one thread at a time.
10. You can shape the story as you wish. Do not feel restricted in what you want to do but be mindful of other players who will have characters that might oppose you within the world. If you want full control of the story, go write a book
11. Try to even out the amount of male and female characters you make. It would suck if we only had a handful of male characters to go around a lot of female ones... Also, try to create both pirates and Marines
12. Uniqueness is great but please do not overdo it by making the "last individual of a dying species of a lost tribe of the last city of a country that was obliterated" unless you have a REALLY good backstory which is approved by one of the mods.
13. One-offs (solo scenes between one, two or more of your own characters) are encouraged if you feel that this will progress the growth and development of your character(s). Just do not include a character that is not yours in your one-off.
14. Only role play with your own characters. Do not use another member's characters even if you have permission from them to do so. This rule doesn't include characters that you have officially claimed, as in the creator will no longer use him or her
