*Emily Wilde series by Heather Fawcett (3 books)- MMC is so nonchalant and lackadaisical about everything except when FMC is in trouble/danger. Essentially zero spice, but very cute/sweet
*A hidden legacy series Ilona Andrews (3 books of one couple and I think 3 of another)- MMC is very protective of FMC. Covers are not great at all, but the writing is nice. Also low on spice, but I think I remember it having some.
*Shortcake and Peanut by Lucy Watson- both MMC’s are protective of FMC’s (Peanut is my favorite book ever, but it is very hard to find because author unpublished her books several years ago)
*Something about you by Julie James- MMC is very protective of FMC. An enemies to lovers that isn’t horribly exaggerated.
*Cross the line by Julie Johnson- MMC is the definition of touch her and you die lol
I’m going through my backlog, I’m pretty sure I have some sports recs somewhere lol

A substitute wife for a prizefighter by Alice Coldbreath- one of my favorite books and Mr. Toomes is incredible
Going nowhere fast by Kati Wilde- has a touch her and die scene, but towards the end. An amazing book that surprised me because it was so so good.
The right move by Liz Tomforde- this is a sports rec but while MMC is protective idk if he exactly fits the prompt.
Against a wall by Cate C Wells- I put off reading this for a long time, but it actually was very sweet. MMC is all in and god forbid anyone touches FMC.
I have quite a few historical romance recs, but I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea! Hope you like even one of these! :)
So if anyone has recs for “touch her and die” vibes that would be amazing. Sports romance would be a plus just not dark or mafia romance please!!
