honestly that's very true, i would say for both liberals and conservatives. personally i don't have an issue with political beliefs as long as the person in question doesn't either, but yeah, polarization is very real

There are gay conservatives. The whole idea is that you dint just
Push the gayness onto people
Yeah i mean to be fair im probably the same way i can only tolerate so much leftism lol. Like anything left of socialism is too far for me. Like i can disagree with socialists and understand where they come from so long as they live in reality and not the theoretical. When we start getting into “real communism was never tried.” Territory or “didn’t you know? We are all secretly gay.” Territory that is when it is just too weird for me to be around you sorry.
Deep thought: Where does consciousness come from? It's an age-old question that humans have been trying to answer since they could conceive of it. It's like it suddenly sparks when you're born (and even a little before that) and then suddenly vanishes when you die. But it also goes away when you sleep, or if you're in a coma. And sometimes, it comes back randomly. Some ancient people thought your breath was your life essence, because living people breathe and dead people don't, so that must be the life. But is it really? Does it come from our brains? If so, we haven't been able to pinpoint where in the brain it comes from. What if we have multiple consciousnesses, like one for feeling, smelling, tasting, etc? And also, what of people with DID, with alters that very much seem to be their own beings? (Forgive me if I got that wrong)Another one of my shower thoughts <3
Oop, sorry if I interrupted your conversation! (Just because of the topic, I'll say that I typically do the same with stronger conservatives, because as a queer person, when I hang around them they sometimes tend to... demean my very existence? It really hurts)

I think about this ALL THE TIME.
May I ask, how do you define consciousness? For me, there's two kinds. There's the literal consciousness. Being awake, seeing things, reacting to your environment. Then there's the metaphorical consciousness, which I define as like the essence of your life or something. It's your mind, thoughts, emotions, memories, and identity. Does that make sense?

Not at all, discuss whatever you like (on-topic) whenever, and they could continue their conversation around you if they want.
And agreed 🥲

It's like it s..."Yeah, yeah, it does somehow XD My dad and I will have philosophical talks sometimes, and one of the things we discussed was the fact each sense sort of has it's own consciousness in a way. Your eyes perceive on their own, and you'll react with joy for some reason if it's something you like. Your nose catches scents, and sends distress if it doesn't like the smell. Your skin feels and does the same things. It's a little like they're all acting on their own.
It's definitely harder to pinpoint the identity-memory one you're talking about! Because, when you get deeper, you start to question what is an 'identity'? Who is this that likes and dislikes, that feels like a boy or girl or other, who likes to read and play music? You could say it's you; but then what is 'you'? Your identity. It's circular. And that's very strange to me.
(Also, when you have a song stuck in your head and you tell it to go away, yet it keeps playing... who exactly is doing that? Cause it sure ain't you)
ohh i'm always thinking about consciousness. what does it mean to be conscious? like, we can see things and hear things, but what does it mean to hear something? what does it mean to feel happy or angry? it makes my head spin.

Yeah you have very short lived centrist parties in the usa
No, for real! The two parties are just, so limited in their choice and no new party seems to be rising it is like, every 4 years theres a complete switch up of policy which will make america, at least as we enter a bipolar/multipolar world again very unstable during the transition periods
I mean the two party system is not great but i see multi party systems as worse. Governments that are forced to seek coalitions often time water down their actions to appease their coalitions while also snubbing new parties. I mean at least in the US we are capable of change and reform and i dont really see the same with other nations
