Help- How to buddy read?

Okay so I'm doing my first buddy read and I have no clue what to do- Are there like rules or smt? It's her first time too, so like we have no clue how to do this-

Hi! Usually a buddy read involves you guys choosing to read X amount of pages or chapters a day so you guys are reading at the same pace! If you just want to read the book at your own pace you can do that too and talk about it later!

Oh cool so is the purpose like just to have someone to read talk to about the book and like motivation to read? Maybe just to have fun while reading?

yes! there isn't really a specific way you half to do it! I enjoy agreeing on stopping at a certain chapter, then discussing afterwards! you can always do it however suits you two best

Exactly! I think buddy reads help when there's a book you've wanted to read but you're too scared to start it so if you're reading it along with a friend it's easier to stay motivated because you know you're not reading it alone! It makes it more fun because you know someone's reading the book at the same time as you!
