It sounds as if you will fit right in. I think many of us have a close relationship with Seven Seas 😊 I find their publications very accessible. I also order Rosmei books from UNNE (in Germany) but those books are expensive!

3. I love chinese novels!!!! I literally read all 9 volumes of MDZS (manhua ver) in one day and currently waiting for an official translation of TGCF to be continued...

5. Um.... I have written over 100 books, created 250+ characters... currently creating a story inspired by TGCF and MDZS!! I most likely won't ever write it because I'm super lazy... but... I can't help it... I'll probably just keep drawing them because I love my babies... maybe one day!!!

Hi everyone! My name's Teté and I'm 21! I mostly joined bc I have some free time on my hands after graduation n would like to do more stuff for fun to remain sane (y'know how adulting is). I speak Spanish and English fluently, and can fend for myself in French and German. I speak and understand some Mandarin (whole reason I discovered the genre), and want to learn Brazilian Portuguese too!! A fun fact is that I'm a huge nerd n love trying new things (even if that means u gotta suck at it first..............), but college and corporate suck the childlike wonder outta you. Hiyaaa! My name is Phylicia and I'm 26 years old. c:I read TGCF a few years ago and recently got back into the genre because I missed it. I'd think I'm kind of new to the danmei genre and haven’t read a lot yet, so I wanted to join this group to meet people with similar taste and discover more recs.

I had a late-night mental breakdown over HuaLian after Volume 6 of TGCF in front of my best friend and realized she absolutely thought I'd gone insane, and I should probably find other people who just Get It to talk to instead of scaring her again lol. Took me a while to get around to finding this group, though. Life is insane at the moment.
4. English. Took Japanese in undergrad, but I haven't been practicing as much as I should, so I'm very rusty
5. I collected desert-shaped things. I have a lamp with a stack of donuts as the base, a mini version of this lamp but with macarons, donut bookends, ice cream cone pencil holders, etc.

5. I enjoy watching anime, playing the bass, baking, reading manga, and many other things but I’m going to keep it short. TGCF was my first danmei I’ve read and I loved it. That was the only danmei I’ve read so far and I’ve started reading more this year like MDZS and 2ha (story is traumatizing).

Sounds like you have made some classic choices as your first danmei series. It is hard to keep up, but luckily there are so many people here that chances are that someone has read whatever anyone is reading at any given moment.

Glad to see that danmei is among your many interests 😊
You are right that 2ha is a traumatizing read, but some of the volumes are also very happy and romantic. It is, however, right that the level of trauma is quite significant in that series. Some people here know how it ends. Others - me included - are following the Seven Seas publications so we are still waiting to learn what happens at the end of the series.

3. Why you joined the group: I fell in love with danmei last year when I read QJJ 1 and MDZS. I wanted to see more of what everyone was reading, their thoughts on current ones, and to learn more about the various adaptations or even cultural references contained within.
4. Languages You Can Speak: English (Fleunt), German (Conversational, but not confident), Japanese (Conversational, also not confident lol). Would love to learn Chinese, especially with how to properly pronounce the character names.
5. Fun Facts (Optional): When I'm not reading danmei, I'm working on my mountain of writing projects. My favorite danmei I've read so far, in no particular order, have been QJJ, Kaleidoscope of Death, MDZS, SVSSS, and Legend of Exorcism.

Omg Ava! I forgot to reply I know one gal here on the danmei community loves doing audio books or listening to danmei ones. I haven't done it much. Only with In the Dark from Peach Flower House.
I honestly don't have a top three. I could give you my top three tiers which goes as followed:
Tier 1: TGCF(my first danmei and always my forever love)
Tier 2: MTSF, QJJ, Joyful Reunion
Tier 3: Nan Chan, Silent Reading, HSAV, Dawning, KOD
