Drace (dracenines) | 7401 comments There are merges that need to be carried out on the book Get in Trouble by Kelly Link.

1. Hardcover

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... – This is the first hardcover edition of the book. It’s missing its ISBNs and ASIN.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... – This edition has the hardcover’s ISBNs and is mistakenly labeled as an ebook copy. These two need to be merged. (The first link with the tan, red, and black cover art has the correct art.)

2. Advance Proof

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... – This is an advance proof edition of the book without an ISBN. Not sure if this should be merged with the US hardcover, invalidated, or left alone, but wanted to bring it up just in case.

David Raz (davidraz) | 12763 comments 1. This ACE was created in error. I don’t know why the librarian changed the format, which is strictly against policy. Based on all available websites, I’m fairly certain the new cover never existed for this ISBN. If the librarian were open to messages, we could ask, but alas, they are not.
I corrected the format, but the book has been shelved 37,528 times, so neither I nor staff can merge it. Only the dev team can fix this. If you're interested, submit a support request and ask for escalation to the dev team.

2. There is no problem with holding an advance proof edition with a different cover and without an ISBN

Drace (dracenines) | 7401 comments Hi David, circling back to provide an update: the member of the Goodreads dev team who responded mistakenly believes that the latter link is an ACE and therefore these editions can't be merged. I sent a reply explaining that it's not an ACE, but if you also want to send a message asking the dev team to merge them, getting a second message from a superlibrarian about this merge issue might provide more credibility than messages from just some random Goodreads user.

David Raz (davidraz) | 12763 comments I have quite a number of my own requests on their backlog, so I rather not add to that. I replaced the cover and left librarian messages noting both editions as duplicates. Perhaps if you make that request now they will understand.
