Is this gonna turn into a romance?
I am liking Jimmy, and his case.
But I'm not feeling any connection to the guy he's sleeping, Barry.
Seems like Jimmy might be a little closed off to opening himself up to more. But really, they haven't shown much with him and Barry to really root for them yet. A couple sex scenes. And even though they have mentioned they need more to try to build a relationship, it hasn't really happened yet.

I guess I should have read just a little further and I'd have my answer....or not. Never know.

But then Jimmy's got a powerful attraction to someone else. I don't know yet if I'll be rooting for either of them. But I think it's promising that there is an interest in someone other than Barry. (hide spoiler)] That's not saying Barry is bad. or anything. I just don't care about him yet. Hope I can finish this off tonight, but not sure if I will.

Yeah, I messed up. I finished a country book today, that I should have held off on, when i should have done this one instead.

But that's okay. I still have 6 country books. It's unlikely I can finish more than that in 1 week.

I like Jimmy, and think I'd like to read more in the series.
Not so sure about the romance.
But that's okay. I'm thinnking of it more as Jimmy's life story, and not a story about a couple. That works for me.
A lot of people have a few relationships before settling down with the right person.

Although I never connected with Barry, I did feel a little bad for him when Jimmy was (view spoiler)[thinking of someone else while he was in bed with Barry. (hide spoiler)]

Well that was a quick ending . Im presuming Barry is over before its started. Hes only here for 3 months and no mention of his name in blurb for bk 2 .
Id definitely carry on with series ( if only to see if he finds his dads murderer)
