Surprised I wasn't put on Batman & Robin! But we have fun mascots.
Creativity in answering questions is encouraged. Literal truth is unnecessary - maybe your favorite food is actually pizza but you have a book with salad on the cover - use it! But if something does actually describe you, that's fine too.
Remember you can use the title, the cover, or the plot For instance, questions on success, ideal vacation, favorite memory could be a cover with a picture of a home, a beach, a party, etc.

Books I might read and suggestions for questions
Some books I might read and relevant questions
Partners in Crime - What do you look for in a friendship?
Death Is Like a Box of Chocolates - If you could only eat one food what would it be? - chocolates are also on the cover
The Earl's Defiant Wallflower - What would be the title of your memoir?
The Door-to-Door Bookstore - If you had the money, what business would you start?

I missed this part of it - book 10, 20, etc. are to come from the Getting to Know You list
We posted a The Person Below Me thread last week, and it's been filled with amazing recommendations! For a bit of fun (and reading books recommended by our members), for every 9 questions you answer within the group, someone in your group must read one book from the recommendation thread!
If you have a chance, look through that thread and see if there is something there you would like to read. I could read The Enchanted April or Slow Horses, also Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries if that works when it is a different book in the series that was listed.

Book I plan to read are:
Counting Miracles (in progress)
Power of Persuasion
Old God's Time
and hopefully one more yet TBD
Thoughts on questions that might be relevant.

Timon and Pumbaa are an animated meerkat and warthog duo introduced in Disney's 1994 animated feature film The Lion King and its franchise - sorry these take up so much room, I don't know how to edit to shrink them!

suggestions - Counting Miracles - What's your highest priority in life? or What's your favorite way to spend a day off?
Power of Persuasion - If you could have a superpower, what would it be? or - Which of your personality traits are you most proud of?
The cover of Old God's Time shows a rocking chair on a beach. Could go with - What's the next place on your travel bucket list - or If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Or with the title - What's an essential part of your day? or How do you enjoy spending your alone time?

Mickey7 could complete the following with the cover and themes of space travel/astronaut/ going to space:
What dreams did you have as a little kid?
What’s on your bucket list?
Do you believe in astrology?
Somewhere Beyond the Sea could easily answer a lot of these questions. Several of the "Who you are and Beliefs" questions with the themes of found family, acceptance, etc. And the "personal time" questions with its title being a good answer for vacation.
I hope to complete 3-4 books. Other books I have on my March TBR are The Third Gilmore Girl which would answer "What’s your comfort movie or show?" among others. Or I Kissed Shara Wheeler, The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife, I Love You So Much It's Killing Us Both. I know they'd all fit somewhere but I would rather see where we are later in the challenge to see what fits. I also need to look at the "Get to know you" thread and see what books are listed and hopefully something matches up!
Well thats my plan. Excited to see what everyone else picks to read!
Welcome to new team members! We might still get more today or tomorrow, which is all to the good.

The Crimson Petal and the White by Michel Faber
If you had to wear just one color for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Crimson in title
Castle in the Air by Diana Wynne Jones
Where’s the next place on your travel bucket list?
Would like to go on a tour of castles someday
Castle in title

Thanks. I should have known that... having seen the movie and the stage production several times.

Good thought - I added a few rows on the bottom and marked one Books from TPMB

Hey! Welcome to your first read-a-thon! You put the books you're reading and planning to read for the read-a-thon on the "planning" tab and put X's by the prompts it can apply to. This way everyone in the group has an idea on who is working on what prompts and which prompts need addressing.
Once you're done with the book, you delete it from the planning tab and put it in the completed plans tab, where you color in the box of the prompt you're applying the book to. You also note your finished book and prompt on the completion tab. I've just completed one of my books, so you can see my example. If you have any questions, just let us know!
Crazy day, I was gone all morning, did the ATY newsletter in the afternoon, had a guest come over and had to deal with a plumbing problem! So not much reading, hope to do better tomorrow.

I'll finish one in about an hour!

"Wild Cards:
You can earn a Wild Card for every 2000 pages read or 30 hours of audiobook listened by the group. You have to answer the question in the threads when you use a Wild Card though!"
Any clarity would be appreciated! TY

The wild cards are like a freebie. We usually save those for the last day of the read-a-thon for the prompts we didn’t get to.
I thought I was reading a book called Partners in Crime. I only realized 3/4 of the way through that I was reading a different one in the series, The Secret Adversary. (I will probably read the other one next.) I was going to put it under Supervillain since it has one, but I see we have that complete. I put it under Scariest Thing since it is a thriller.
I also finished The Tin Flute on audio and put it under hobbies.

Remember, the goal of this read-a-thon is not necessarily to answer all the questions, but to get to know your group members! Multiple members can answer the same questions, but a member can't answer the same question more than once.

Thanks for the reminder, I could have used Supervillain after all. But this is fine too.

I finished Partners in Crime and put it under What do you look for in a friend? And I finished the short Open Throat. I put that under What's the best vacation you ever took? since it takes place around LA and Disneyland.
We are up to another TPBM book. I wondered if we could come back to it and found this answer from Emily in the general thread:
Your call. My thinking was that you could fill it early (like you could fill spot 20 before spot 19), but you needed to fill it before moving forward (so you would have to fill spot 20 before going to spot 21).
However, if that holds up your group or makes this frustrating, then y’all can decide as a team that as long as someone has a book in progress for that spot, you can skip it and come back to it. I won’t be the challenge police on this one, and it’s not a competition, so do whatever makes this fun for your group.
I would definitely say you shouldn't skip more than one though (so you need to fill spot 20 before you get to spot 30).
You can also use your wild cards for TPBM books!

So, do we want to use a Wild Card, or does someone have a book that will be done soon that works for one of the TPBM books?

A suggestion - Everyone can continue reading and either Andrea will have her book done today or tomorrow and then we can add anything we've finished in between, or we can use a wild card at that time.

Awesome Andrea! Thank you!

All the books in that series are short and fast reads. Great!

Great answer!

I finished Glory Be and put it under Do you believe in astrology? because there is something about it in the book.
I may finish one more book.
I may finish one more book.
Rora, I'm delighted you read Five Children and It. I grew up with that book and others by the same author. This was WAAY before Harry Potter but I always wanted to read books with magic in them. I think more people should know about E. Nesbit.

I should be able to get one more book in by Sunday, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. Not sure yet where to fit it in...
