Huntyr has fought for survival her entire life. Raised under Lord, the master of assassins in Midgrave, she has spent over twenty years learning to kill the blood-hungry, depraved vampyres that lurk in the darkness. Huntyr is the most lethal fae in the kingdom, which is why Lord chooses her to complete the next mission.

Huntyr must survive Moira Seminary and make it into The Golden City—the mysterious elite society of the few remaining angels and the magic fae who live in luxury with no crime, no poverty, and certainly no vampyres.

Only when she arrives at the academy, she’s forced to room with Wolf—the terrifying fallen angel who happens to know her assassin identity.

Determined to keep her head down in Moira, Huntyr tries her best to ignore Wolf. Over time, though, he not only becomes the only person she can lean on, but the one who might keep her alive through the life-threatening tests to get into The Golden City.

A wolf and his huntress. An academy designed to break them.

Huntyr will do anything to please the assassin master, but Wolf begins to test her in ways she never imagined. Is she strong enough to stick to the mission? Or will new truths—and alliances—put everything at risk?

Hello Ariel, I can't find this book in the Bookish Shop. Is it currently available to the public for purchase/pre-order or limited to members shop/subscribers?

Ariel Bookish | 26 comments Hi Tal,
This book comes in our January box.

Can you let me know what ACE means?

Alternate cover edition. When a book retains the same identifier (ISBN or ASIN) but has a cover change, we create one of these.

Thanks for the reply Ariel, that's what I thought. Unfortunately GR policy is that exclusive member/subscriber only books, both print and digital, are not eligible to be added to GR. This is not a new policy, it was in place back when I joined in 2014.

It's confusing I know, because you've probably either added or asked for these editions to be added before without an issue and you can find many examples of them in the database today. This is mostly because up until mid-2022 users could add books themselves, even ones that were not allowed and the fact that since the former head librarian departed quite a few have been added by volunteers unaware of the policy or how book subscription platforms like your's work.

If these member/subscriber special editions are ever made available for sale to the general public, at that point they become eligible to be added to GR. Not while they are member/subscriber exclusives though. I hope that answers any questions you may have. I'm not a fan of the policy, actually advocated against it for many years but because of that I understand it very well.

Ariel Bookish | 26 comments Hi Tal,
Thank you for letting me know this info.

While our "Box Books" are sent automatically to subscribers, they are also available to the public on the 23rd of each month.

If you can't find a Box Book for sale on our site after the 23rd of each month, that would be because it has sold out.

Does this info change the verdict of the request?

Thanks!
