My apologies. The link for the current poll in the notification message is a broken link. I will resend tomorrow to correct.

I am slowly adding tags to the Light Novel bookshelf for genres like fantasy, romance, female or male protagonist, etc.
This is to help the forum members search for books in the bookshelf.

Finding books through your local library.
Check to see if the monthly group read books are available through your local library, in the physical or on-line collection.
If not available, many libraries will get look for your request through an inter-library loan.
My local and very rural library will look for books throughout our state public libraries and then across the country on requests.
If you are lucky to be in school, check your school libraries and also tell the librarian what you are looking for. I know we add books when there is a local interest.
Also, regional anime conferences and others have reading rooms. In the one I go to, the reading room is usually busy with lots of people catching up on their favorite series or checking out new LN and Manga series.
Lastly, many LNs are available used via your local used book stores and online via companies like ThriftBooks.com.

I am Jack and now co-mod under Selena-Sensei. As they has noted in their message message to the group, I am also a co-mod of the Japanese Literature forum. Both groups have a long history on goodreads and I hope, with Selena's guidance, to contribute as a co-mod.
I am a retired technical librarian, eg, I worked on electronic systems to support a worldwide technical library, but my love is Japanese literature in all its forms, LNs, literary fiction, non-fiction, folklore, and manga. (oops... and anime, live action film also.) I had the opportunity to work several assignments in Japan and greatly valued the experiences.
I read several LNs a month and will try to mark what I am reading in the "currently reading" topic.
Please use this thread for questions and suggestions.
with regards, Jack
