Play Harder First Quarter Prompt Swap
RulesHere's how the prompt swap will work.
- The order of play will be generated at random.
- The first person will select a number from a list of numbers that I provide. Each number is affiliated with a prompt. I, then, announce which prompt the first person has opened.
- The second person can either steal the open prompt from the first person. Or, they may pick a new number and open a new prompt. If they steal the first person's prompt, then the first person has the opportunity to select a new number.
- The third person may then steal either one of the opened prompts, or select a new number to open.
We continue ad infinitum until all the prompts are opened and distributed.
Each person may possess a given prompt no more than three times total.
Joanne, you will be the first player in the swap to have a turn. Please indicate on Monday which prompt you want to open.The current choices are 1-7, but I will let you know if that changes.
Wow, I wasn't expecting that. Hopefully, it is a good one. I may forget to ask for a number tomorrow as I have a busy day. So if it is okay, I will choose # 5 right now.

Oh no! That one would scare me too. Necromancy?! 😬Subtitles should count, which would help. Joanne, do you have any interest in Joan of Arc? There are a lot of books about her, and the subtitles provide the extra letters.

That would be awesome Pam! If you already have found one that you can tolerate. And that gives Joanne another option. I think I’m gonna have fun watching this. I would’ve been able to find something with that prompt. Amy is pretty easy.

Thanks Nancy but I read a cookbook already every month, for my cookbook club. So I really do not want another one on my hands. The books about Joan of Arc that I want to read, I have.

I actually wouldn't swap out that one. I do not care for audiobooks but there are a few I have no problem listening to - for books I already read. Though usually I only listen when traveling long distances.

It's so much fun to watch! And so interesting to see what was offered up! I'm waiting for my name and considering my options. Though the prompt I put in hasn't been picked yet.
This is fun to watch. Joanne I hope you end up with a tag you like. I actually would be fine with any of the three prompts so far, even though I'm not playing this time around.

@Anita - there needs to be a prize of some sort for the person from whom the most prompts are stolen. I think at this point JoAnne might have too big a lead to be beat!

@JoAnne - just realized what you really are in this - The Stalking Horse! You open all the prompts, one by one, having each 'stolen'- so the rest of us can see what you have opened and not inadvertently open our own! 🐎🐎🐎🐎
