Nice call, Amber. :)
No drama, though, people!
No drama, though, people!
I read somewhere in the early eighteenth century (I think), when people went to eating establishments in Europe, they would have to leave at least 1/10th of the overall food on their plate. Then they had to go to the chef to show them that they had left something before they could leave the establishment. That food would then be donated to the poor.
Would any of you ever consider donating excess food—or even food made especially—to local soup kitchens instead throwing them out?

ya I know eating places do do that around my house
Back then, it was a common thing that happened in pretty much all places.
Too much food is wasted in this world
That is a good idea
I wish I would get off my butt and start volunteering again :( shame on me

I need to do more but it's hard when your selfish and think about yourself
Everyone is selfish in some way. It's a survival instinct. Cavemen would not share their caribou, it had to last them until winter.
The caribou metaphor is hilarious
Ya I volunteer but not if I don't have to
I tell my husband if we aren't going to eat something I am not buying it
