I loved it! The plot is a bit basic and same with the magic system, but I had a really really fun time reading it! the characters are fun and easy to love! I wouldn't say powerless is the most mind blowing piece of fiction. But I had an amazing time reading it and I was able to forget about my own life!! I think if you have the book you should at least give it a shot! If you don't like it, you don't like it. But you might end up loving it! :)

Honestly, I read it when it was just starting to blow up on tiktok and I really enjoyed it.
Is it completely original? no, not at all. It definitely closely resembles red queen and the hunger games but if you’re not someone who’s super bothered by repeated tropes and simple writing then definitely read it!
It’s not one of my top books but it’s an enjoyable fast read either way <33

I left reviews on both books so if you want my full opinions it’s there but overall it’s DEFINITELY not the best Romantasy book that it’s hyped up to be but if you really like almost pure romance, tropey, and often repetitive banter than you’d love it. But if you were looking for more fantasy and something fresh and original mixed in then Powerless is probably not for you.

That’s a complicated question but it all comes down to what you want and expect form the book. If you want romance with lost of tension and popular tropes thrown in every other page then you might like it. I really didn’t connect with the characters and couldn’t care less if the main couple ends up together or not, the writing was meh and the world building quite weak but I continued reading and plan to finish the series. You just have to get in the right mindset and expectations before starting it.

I enjoyed it! it was very much a pleasure to read; I wasn't reading for a really captivating, original story. you can definitely tell that this author was inspired by a lot of popular recent books (which makes sense), but it was still a good story, and I'm sat for the next book!

Yes, it’s worth it. Definitely not the best book ever, but still good
