JD Alan | 7 comments Hi everyone,

I’m excited to be here and connect with fellow readers and writers. I tend to gravitate toward stories that explore wisdom, deep truths, and the depths of God’s love and grace.

I especially enjoy books that don’t just tell a great story, but also challenge us, much like the wisdom literature of the Bible.

What books have deeply influenced you, or left a lasting impact on your perspective?

JD Alan | 7 comments Hi Jon, thanks for the suggestion! I’m excited to explore new books.

What’s the main theme or takeaway from your book? I enjoy hearing more about the message behind stories.

JD Alan | 7 comments Hi James, thank you so much for the warm welcome!

I reviewed your profile and was really inspired by your calling to communicate God’s Word and the impact your work has had. Your dedication to making biblical truths accessible to everyone, and your approach to simplifying complex theology is something I really admire!

As a writer, I try to capture the power of God’s love and grace in my own stories. God’s grace is so vast and immeasurable that we can sometimes feel lost when trying to understand the depths of His wisdom, especially when we’re facing storms. But what we sometimes fail to realize is that God’s love is even deeper, wider, and more vast than we could ever imagine.

Hi Otishia, thank you for the welcome!

Congratulations on finishing A Meal With Jesus! That’s awesome!

Jon Cody | 3 comments My book is a comparison of a Christian Army to a secular one, in that there is a recruitment stage, bootcamp, and learning for to fight and who you are fighting for.

It deals a lot with the battles we face as Christians, but also reminds Christians of some of the truths of the Bible that many of us have forgotten or never really learned, and as a result, we end up fighting our battles our way instead of Gods way.

Martha Gayle | 31 comments JD, Welcome to the group. My book, When Jesus Calls does tell a story, however, although written in fiction, it is based on my story. Would love for you to read it as it is filled with the gospel of Jesus. Even when He calls us to do very hard things, we can trust Him. My desire is to walk in His will as I know He is carrying me. Sometimes the path and waves in front of us feel hard to face, but as God continues to nudge us and carry us through them, the blessings of His goodness shows up at the perfect time. Every time. Faith is believing what we can’t see. I am blessed that while walking in unwavering Faith, I have seen the Glory of God! Blessings to you! Always Believe! ❤️. John 11:40

That sounds like a powerful and much-needed perspective, Jon! The idea of spiritual warfare and the way we often try to fight our battles our own way instead of God’s way is something that resonates deeply.

Thank you, Martha! Your book sounds deeply personal and faith-filled. I love stories that remind us of God’s faithfulness, especially when He calls us into the unknown. That verse from John 11:40 is such a powerful reminder of how God’s glory is revealed in ways we don’t always expect. What was the most challenging part of writing a story based on your own experiences?
