Janice (jamasc) | 59887 comments I think I have it fixed. I've fixed Marnie's book and added Marnie & Lynn's additions.

My mouse has acting really weird lately. I was having great difficulties getting it to respond in the edit box. I changed the battery, but it didn't improve it's performance. Maybe it's time for a new one.

Marnie (marnie19) | 3259 comments Looks great Janice. I am so grateful you are keeping track of all this. I do not have a brain for numbers and would be endlessly confused.

Hope a new battery fixes things.

We have two days left and plenty of tasks to fill. Do you want to read for another open task?

message 105: by Nistha (new)

Nistha | 997 comments Why not! I actually need to return my manga to the lib but I think I can squeeze a short one in..

I will claim The Haunting of Hill House for publ year 9

October 16, 1959

Kristie | 19138 comments Excellent!

message 107: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59887 comments The Haunting of Hill House has long been a favourite of mine. The first time I read it was when I was a teenager. My parents subscribed to Reader's Digest Condensed Books, and it was included in one of the volumes.

Marnie (marnie19) | 3259 comments I’m going to finish the Toppler with The Windsor Knot for pages 5 ( the audio is 8:05)

Should be a light fun story.

message 109: by Kristie, Moderator (new)

Kristie | 19138 comments I will easily finish Play Dead tomorrow. I only have 35 minutes left to the audio at my current speed and it will take me at least that long to drive to my book club meeting tomorrow.

I am also working on Eddie Winston Is Looking for Love, but need time to sit still with that one and time has been against me this week. I will still finish it on time though.

I probably won't be able to start another audio for the toppler because I will need the time to finish my physical book. Pretty happy with finishing four books this weeks though.

Janice (jamasc) | 59887 comments I finished The Dark Wind. I have tonight & tomorrow night to finish The Devil's Novice. Fingers crossed.

Grainne Coughlan | 1297 comments I will take The House in the Cerulean Sea for month of publication 3.

March 16th, 2020

message 112: by Kristie, Moderator (new)

Kristie | 19138 comments You can do it, Janice!

message 113: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59887 comments I usually crawl into bed at 10:00 and read, but I think I'm going to start right now and not in bed. I'm at the half way mark, and for some odd reasons books seem to go faster after 50%

message 114: by Grainne (last edited Feb 28, 2025 06:05PM) (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1297 comments Could you move

Original publication year
#4. Grainne - The Namesake

to

Pages
291 pages #1

I read the paperback but now it seems that there was a previous publication date of 2003. It might be because I am living abroad or have a copy for a different country/publisher. The page number of the copy that I read is 291 pages so it will fit in to #1. Sorry, that was my error.

I have finished reading it and I will report it once it's okay to make the change.

Grainne Coughlan | 1297 comments I am almost done with The House in the Cerulean Sea. Could I take
Survival is a Dying Art
pages #7
7:07 audio
series #3

message 116: by Grainne (last edited Feb 28, 2025 06:09PM) (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1297 comments Actually, it fits better in
#7 pages
317 pages
Audio 7:07
Survival is a Dying Art

Janice (jamasc) | 59887 comments Changes are made Grainne. You can go ahead a report The Namesake.

message 118: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59887 comments I think I'm going to be able to finish my ebook. I'm at 77% and the action is ramping up a bit. Instead of starting a new audiobook this afternoon, I'll sit with the ebook.

message 119: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59887 comments I had to change The Devil's Novice on our planning list from #4 series to #8 series. I don't know how I got that mixed up.

message 120: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59887 comments That was a surprise! At 83%. the book finished and the remainder was a preview of the next in series. So, I did complete the book - with time to spare.

message 121: by Kristie, Moderator (new)

Kristie | 19138 comments I love that, Janice! You were much further along in the book than you thought.

message 122: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3259 comments I love that for you Janice. A surprise early ending.

I have a little less that two hours left in my last book so will have no problem finishing it. Lots of good reading for Team 2!

message 123: by Grainne (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1297 comments What a surprise! I love it when that happens. I couldn't sleep last night, so I read Survival is a Dying Art. There's 5 minutes left to go.

message 124: by Grainne (last edited Feb 28, 2025 06:21PM) (new)

Grainne Coughlan | 1297 comments I have completed all my reads and reported them in the reporting thread. Well done Team 2 you really encouraged me to read a lot more this week. I always find these topplers to be a wonderful way to tick a few off my TBR list. Thank you Marnie and Janice for the score keeping. Thank you Kristie for a wonderful toppler!

message 125: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59887 comments I'm feeling relieved that I won't be feverishly trying to finish that snoozefest of a book. This was a dud in the series, because I don't recall the others being so slow. I have a few more of the books in the series, so fingers crossed.

message 126: by Kristie, Moderator (new)

Kristie | 19138 comments I'm still working on my last book. I should be able to finish on time though. I'll probably just have to read the end in the morning.

message 127: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3259 comments This was a fun Toppler. Y’all are awesome teammates. Thank you Kristie for the idea and Janice for keeping us organized.

As of right now we have read 32 books!

message 128: by Kristie, Moderator (new)

Kristie | 19138 comments I just finished Eddie Winston. :) Will report in just a minute.
