An accented letter in an author name will create a second profile, but that is not enough to properly disambiguate books and assign them to the right author. Only an extra space in an author profile will do that.Not great that the original request in this thread was removed.
I've sent a followup to Support.
Support has added an extra space in the author without the accented letter. I've moved four editions of An Embroidery of Souls to the correct author, and merged a placeholder edition.https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
Actually, you're not a Goodreads Librarian. You're an author with limited librarian privileges. I'm surprised that you were able to change author names other than your own. Perhaps you were a GR librarian before claiming your author profile and did it then?
No matter. What [the librarian in the deleted posts] told you is correct: only Support can make changes that affect a claimed author's name. This is not a matter for Superlibrarians.
