How do I remove other authors from my book? [done]

I originally added my illustrator and editors to the contributor section when setting up my book on KDP. I've since removed them and they don't show up on the Amazon listing anymore, however they still show up under the authors on GoodReads. I would like to remove them as I am the primary author.

I understand the function to edit the book details exists in the author dashboard, but each time I try to remove the other names I get an error message.

Editors and illustrators are typically valid contributors to books. Why do you want to remove them?

Does the book contain illustrations or is the person listed as the illustrator actually the cover artist?

They are contributors, but the way the book displays, it looks like there are four different authors. The artist did the cover but there are no other illustrations. The book isn't an anthology, it's the first of a series. I haven't seen any other books on GR that list the authors like this. They will have contributions acknowledged in the interior, but it looks confusing having them listed the way it is right now. Especially because one of my editors is also a GR verified author, it now looks like he also authored the book.
