[Answered] Does this need to be separated into its own edition?

Hi.

I've come across a request (not in this group) asking for a Thai edition of 'Cloud Cuckoo Land' by Anthony Doerr to be added to the database.

Upon checking, I found that the Thai edition was split into 2 volumes. Another librarian had already combined Vol.1 with other single-volume editions.

In this case, should I separate Vol.1, create a series, add Vol.2, add Vol.2 to the series? Since I believe GR has a rule where editions with different volumes shouldn't be combined with each other.

I am not confident enough to make a decision using my judgement,
so any advice is appreciated!! :)

Yes, the part should not be combined with the whole.
