Elsie | 963 comments Hi. I think I'm dead. Yeah. Dead. Like a rock. Blah.

(Ps, spoilers ahead!)

I just got back from seeing Breaking Dawn pt 1 and 2. Uhm. My pulse isn't working, guys!
I loved the book and series - it turned into the talk of my everyday life. It was so hard not to spoil it to my bestie, who is currently reading Twilight.
But I had the NEED to finish the books because they released the movie as a movie marathon in the Megaplex. I hadn't seen anything past Twilight, so obviously I was really excited, but my mother hadn't told me about the final scene in the movie, that's just slightly altered for the movie.
In the movie, when Alice shows up again to convince Aro (stupid vampire) to not obliterate Renesmee, it dives into this 12-minute scene of fighting: The Volturi decide to try to fight off their opponents, the Cullens and their allies, to get to Renesmee because they're afraid that the girl has the power to destroy the world, like the immortal children that were murdered cause they couldn't keep the secret of the vampires. The Volturi do a lot of unacceptable and unnecessary things, such as tearing apart Carlisle (which sent me into a panic attack, I couldn't breathe, I was bawling and hyperventilating, bro!) tearing apart Jasper (wth?) yeeting Bella across the field several times, trampling Esme, wrestling Alice, and twisting Edward hurt my soul entirely. Then, Benjamin (can manipulate all aspects of the elements; fire, water, earth, and air) punches the frosted floor, and it splits open. Leah, the girl werewolf, Sam's ex, sacrifices herself for Esme's sake, and Seth falls into the groove, too. I think his back broke as well. Jake and Renesmee are running for their life, as little Renesmee is watching her family die. Several members of the Volturi are getting obliterated as well, ones that Aro isn't willing to risk, Jane, Alec, blah vampires like that.
Then, as an ending, it zooms out from Aro's hand on Alice's, and everyone is still there, no one hurt, or sacrificed and you realize it had been what Alice had seen of the future if Aro decided to continue his venture to kill the Cullens.
It's incredibly gruesome, but it's not in the book because the point of view isn't from Alice's perspective, so you're, like, WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED????

Pleaseeeee, someone heal my heart! I just watched my family get beaten up... 😢

Plume That's exactly what we all felt back in 2012 when it came out. Be grateful you were able to experience it in a theater too. I was with 2 other girls and we were SHOOK. I remember I was in denial and immediately reassured myself saying it had to be a vision from Alice. I'll remember Aro lifting Carlisle's head forever lol.
