January's already come to a close. Hello, February. Here's hoping you launched into the new year with some great middle grade reads! Look back at what you found and tell us your favorites so we can add them to our reading piles!

For myself, I'd say my favorites were the historical The Bletchley Riddle by Ruta Sepetys, which gives a peek into wartime code-breaking and the action-packed Charlie Thorne and the Last Equation by Stuart Gibbs, which also had a puzzle to crack, spies, and geniuses. And I seriously loved everything about the world created for The Girl from Earth's End by Tara Dairman, which involves a horticultural quest. All the feels & tightly woven. Recommended!

How about you? I hope you'll share!

Angela Sandoval | 16 comments The best MG book I read in January was the graphic novel Go with the Flow. Every 9-13 year old, both male and female, should read this one! A couple of others I liked were The Secret Letters and Monsters in the Mist.

Go with the Flow by Lily Williams The Secret Letters (Mysteries of Trash and Treasure #1) by Margaret Peterson Haddix Monsters in the Mist by Juliana Brandt

Katie (ktmac_1) | 9 comments For January, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen. It was a great beginning to the series with secrets kept by characters not revealed to the reader immediately and had some ambiguous villains that made the story compelling. A good adventure book to get lost in for day.
