A safe place if you need to talk about something other than books or you want to talk books to take your mind off something.
Basically a place to chat and feel safe.

Lyndsey | 6 comments Just wondered where most of you get your books from? do you buy new ones, second hand, or prefer kindle? I love that my village has a book hut which people use for old books all the time, so the majority of the time my choices are dictated by whatever the other villagers have deposited.

I do love my kindle, but with their ebook prices keep going up and up, I try to use my library's ebooks as much as possible. Thankfully, my library has both Hoopla and Libby. I may have to wait a few weeks, but it's not too bad. I just listened to James by Percival Everett (which was a 5 star read/listen) and I only waited a month.
Thankfully, a new bookstore is coming soon to my town. I've been pressing my nose up against the window and waiting, ok maybe stalking. Hopefully soon! I should mention that I do have a huge Barnes and Noble close to my home too.

Paul Stevens (renjihawk999) | 14 comments Rachel has gotten me in the habit of having a wish list of books and i monitor them in Amazon for when they are £0.99p or their monthly booksale at start of each month for the £0.99p ones to keep costs down :D

Otherwise its Charity shops...But in general i do prefer to have a book, but love the convenience of the Kindle App.

Diana | 20 comments Yea, I check the sales daily hoping to find something. Right now, I'm hoping my library gets Open Season (Alex Delaware, #40) by Jonathan Kellerman because I am not paying $14.99 for 297 pages!

Kindle sales and charity shops for me!
As Paul says there are a lot of books for 99p on Kindle.
What about a library? I think there is an app called Libby where you can borrow e books as long as you are registered with a library.

Ps book groups on fb are great and also highly dangerous for books recommendations. I’m in a few and my tbr is out of control with all the recs I’ve got! 🙈😂

Paul Stevens (renjihawk999) | 14 comments Ok I’m super happy with my book collection now! Got some great books added to my shelves that I can’t wait to read. One of them is “Just One Damned Thing After Another” by Jodi Taylor. Loved he Time Police series so looking forward to reading the one that started it all.
