I've read the majority of her books and the pacing is bad. All of the characters treat each other very poorly. I gave each book 1-2 stars.
There are some i actually enjoyed despite all the hate (Ugly Love & Verity) but she does create a lot of toxic main characters/relationship dynamics.
i personally don't think they're the worst books to ever exist. however, there are much better books out there that are worth your time
I have read a lot of her books and some are definitely meh but i did like November 9, Verity, Heart Bones, and Ugly Love
i’ve read the it ends with us series. i’m ngl, there are better books out there that are better written & i didn’t really care for the characters but idk what it is i really liked the series & i want to read more of her books 🥲
Defiantly not. I haven’t ran into one that I haven’t liked. I love Colleen Hoover books
I personally love her stuff. I did watch it ends with us aswell which was based on her book. Loved it. Love her. I think he books are amazing. I understand it might not be for everyone this is just my opinion.
I have read some and I don't find they are that bad but I have not read all her books .

I think you either love it or hate it. Give it a try and see which side you will be in. I read a couple of her books and some I love like the two popular ones. It ends and it starts I love both. Then the not so popular ones like November 9 and I definitely hated verity. So it’s 50/50 in my opinion.
I’ve read only Layla , ugly love and verity by her , got to say that her thriller books are better than romance . Maybe you should try verity !

Her books are great! I feel sorry for her that her best work got dragged into the mess of Hollywood.
The books are honestly not bad, there are some controversies about her that define some readers’ opinion of her work, which I don’t think is fair. There are a LOT of worse books
I personally love Colleen Hoovers books there’s a few I’m not fond of but for the most part I feel like they are well detailed and interesting. I’ve read pretty much all of her books.
i think there not bad there are definitely way worse books i think everyone just gravitated towards reading her books a couple years ago cause everyone was reading them and it was just good books to get you back into reading-looking back tho i dont understand how her books went so viral when there are so many better authors out there
I only read Verity. It was my first and last book of hers. She’s not my cup of tea.
it's not that they're the worstbooks ever, she just writes the same thing over & over.
It just really depends on what you like. One person can love a book while another person hates it. It's just a matter of preference
1) she writes about toxic relationships 2) she defended her son who (allegedly) harrassed a minor.in my experience (I've read verity and reminders of him), she has an original style which puts her in between the romance genre and literary fiction. if we wanna get technical, I'd call her part of the "Splitstream genre".
in my experience, a lot of hate came from people who approached her books expecting romance novels, since this is how they get marketed, and so the readers got pretty... "traumatized" by the stories. they are really a long series of turn offs.
if you wanna read something from her, try Reminders of Him, it's my favourite novel OAT. but approach it as literary fiction.
i only read it ends with us and that was enough for me to decide to never read a book from her again, i even have regretting you sitting on my bookshelf collecting dust. but i still think you should give it a try since everyones different.
I read only the first chapter of one of her most famous books and that was enough for me to decide that her books are not worthwhile for me so I stopped right away!
Yes, her books are the definition of 🚩🚩🚩 and blueprint for being overhyped.. The toxicity levels are off the charts, and the drama is straight-up exhausting. I used to wonder as well why everyone hated her… then I read Ugly Love, and yeah, I get it . 💀Seriously, I hate her female protagonist. Like, WTF?? Zero self-respect, just like wattpad fanfiction's y/n . just out here humiliating herself for her brother’s best friend ass, who isn’t even over his ex. Man was literally moaning his ex’s name mid-act.😭I cringed so hard! AND THEN THE AUTHOR WROTE:
"We laughed at our son's big balls." 💀

I think Colleen Hoovers books are decent, I liked It Ends with us and it starts with us. Not amazing though, I don’t think any of her books are 5 star worthy. 🤷🏽♀️
It Ends With Us are good but that's it for me. It doesn't give me the excitement to read It Starts With Us. Not bcos I wanted her to choose Ryle, they divorced, it was the right thing to do. But Verity is so damn good. And the casting they chose are the A-list that we all love so much!
I feel like her books have good plots (especially Verity) but the bad writing ruins it
I finished It Starts With Us last night and It ends with us a couple days ago and I thought they were really good. Even tho I kow some people probs hate the way Colleen writes but I think the way she writes is somewhat good. I gave 5 stars for both of the books but others may think different.
It depends on what you like. You may love Colleen Hoover's books, but it depends on your reading style. Me, I am not the biggest fan but it's your choice on what you read.
i think colleen hoover's books are not that bad. she just portrayed a toxic relay that are pretty common happening in real life. it depends on people, how they see the message she's trying to deliver from her books.
I honestly haven’t read a Colleeen Hoover book Ive ever enjoyed. The bad writing is something I can’t overlook.
it just depends on the person, idk what i’d think of them now since i read them like over 2 years ago, but at the time i personally had really liked it ends w us, november 9th, and reminders of him. and then i think it was called like confess and regretting you, they were fine. the others books i read i didn’t like, all your perfects and i dnfed maybe someday
