574 - Because "Narrator" is the proper word here.
The role of an author isn't listed as "writer."

There used to be a place right under where the title is that said Original Title when you created a book. I guess they must have done away with that. What a shame since authors change book titles so often.
Also, it seems that combining didn't work as the original title book is still an orphan.
