* Description: The Massachusetts militiamen who fired the first shots of the war on 19 April 1775 had no blueprint for creating a nation—nor did many think that the conflict would result in a drive for independence. Deep-seated colonial resentments over their rights as English citizens had been simmering since before the 1750s. As the British Parliament enacted even more restrictive laws, peaceful protests turned to military organization, and finally open violence. As New England formed its Army of Observation in the wake of the battles of Lexington and Concord, the Continental Congress saw the need for a national army.

Hi, we appreciate your patience as we work through the tremendous backlog. The website you provided doesn't show the ISBN. We need a webpage showing the ISBN/ASIN and other book data to validate the info and if available we need it for the cover image. It should be non-bookseller site (Amazon & AbeBooks excepted), so from the publisher, library or another acceptable site: https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/..., if you have the book, we can use a scan/photo of your copy for the cover and the page with the publication information (you can upload a scan/photo of your own to the "more photos..." section of your profile (https://www.goodreads.com/photo/new) in the browser, not the app), then copy the link here and a librarian can add it. Make sure you state the source of the photo in the text and that your account settings are public (not private).

Sceadugenga | 19 comments The link IS the publisher, the isbn is printed on the inside of the book, if it's not in the catalog description I don't know what to tell you. Being a government publication it doesn't have a retail distribution such as amazon. Waiting seven months for this answer when the book is obviously legitimate is outrageous....especially when I could have added it myself more efficiently in two minutes....
