"Lightly edited"

I purchased a dozen of these for Sunday school based on the author's interview on Crossway Podcast. He said that he had 'lightly edited' the text and then gave examples of very obscure words that he 'updated.' But in fact, he degendered all the language by using plural pronouns, in many cases creating confusion and obfuscation. He even altered titles of sermons. The classic sermons are great. I wish I had realized that Gatiss was trying to be a culture warrior and in the process muddling Cranmer's clear text. Full review coming when I'm done. But I'm disappointed. This could have been much better!
