I almost bailed on my next book, Zorro: in the Curse of Capistrano which would have set me back looking for another book to fit the task. The narration of the audiobook is just wild. He has a major scratchy voice and it took me a while to be able to focus on the story.
I can totally understand what you mean. I started only recently with audiobooks and discovered that the narrator can really make a difference whether you like a book or not. And I guess the book is for your „Z“-task so it’s not easy to replace. If the guy was named Sorro it would be much easier ;)
