Hi!

Please could somebody edit the page count of this book - the paperback edition - which has the ISBN 9780241261774.

It currently shows a page count of 300 pages but only actually contains 208 pages.

World Cat (our preferred source for confirming page counts) Has this one at 194 pages. Can you tell me what is on pages 195-208? Some things we count & some things we don't.

Thanks for your email and sorry for the late reply.

There is a two-page introduction by Naomi Alderman which starts on page vii and ends on page viii.

The immediate next page is page 1 and then the collection of short stories ends on page 194.

There are then six additional pages, the first of which is blank, with the last five of those six being advertisements for other books in the Penguin Worlds series.

So the 194 pages worth of actual stories, plus the last six pages and the the first 8 pages, up to the end of the introduction, must be where the total of 208 pages comes from, as stated on the Penguin website.

194 then would be the correct page count. We don't count introductory material with Roman numerals or advertising material.
