Did anyone else not care for the inheritance games?

I’ve read the first four and I recently saw the fifth at a book store, I just don’t undertand the hype around it and why there are now five books in the series. Does anyone else feel this way?

I only read the first two and I didn’t like them as much as other people did. I have the rest of the series that I have to read because one of my goals this year is to finish series I started but put off finishing so I’ll get to the other books eventually.

This might be a hot take, but I think it’s dragged out for way too long and the series doesn’t need THAT many books and spin offs. I think the author realized how popular the series was and just kept going with it to milk its popularity.

I read the first 3 because my aunt had recommended it to me and i got bored within the first book but kept reading because of her guys 😭🤌

i just started the first one. should i read the whole series or just read the first three? will i miss out on a lot?

It’s not fully needed to understand the main plot, I feel like it just provides some deeper insight into the characters and fixes some gaps in the story. If you like the first three a lot then I would probably suggest to the read the fourth just because of that.
