In a galaxy far, far away...

Prepare your tunics and your lightsabers (and maybe a spaceship while you're at it) - for in this optional mini challenge, we will take you across the universe of Star Wars to make the acquaintance of some of the most well-known heroes and villains of the galaxy.

From the below list, your team may pick six characters. At least one character needs to be a hero and at least one character needs to be a villain. The remaining four characters may be freely selected among heroes and villains. For all six of your chosen characters, you will have to read a book for every task.

◈ Every book read, i.e. every task completed, is worth 10 points. Each book can be used for one task only.
◈ Books for tasks can be finished in any order. No need to complete blocks to get the 10 points/book.
◈ Completing six sets of tasks (ie six characters) will award your team a completion bonus of 30 points.

◈ Books used for this mini challenge do not need to be separate books from what you are claiming for your UNO hands.
◈ The usual book length rules apply.
◈ Team spreadsheets will be updated with a mini challenge tab so that you can track your books and claim your points.

◈ Books can be started at any point since the start of the UNO challenge (Feb 1).
◈ Books need to be finished after the start of this mini challenge on 14 February, 9am UTC (Countdown: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...) and before 1 March, 9am UTC.

I definitely found a 4 RED book that I could do.
I might have a 8 RED book I can do. It has a 4 week wait on Libby but only one person has it and no one ahead of me so I think I will get it in time.
But also I am good with reading whatever if yall have other books you want to do that fit these!

Here are the characters we are going to go with. I have greyed out the ones we are not doing in the spreadsheet so there is no confusion. Please claim the ones that you can read for. That way, we don't have any double-upping of tasks.

Hey Kat! I wonder if you might not understand how the mini works - so let me clarify. You don't have to read extra books - we can just try to find places where the books you are already reading for the main challenge fit into the mini challenge. I totally get if you don't have the capacity to find some of the harder tasks so you can leave that to others. :) But it isn't really extra work - just let us know/fill out the spreadsheet if any of your books fit for any of the mini challenge tasks! Does that make sense? Happy to work with you!

I do really want to read the favorites and have it. I can put it at the top of my reads list after I complete the current books I'm on and knock it out before the end of February if that would help!

You can "unhide" the hidden rows on the tracking spreadsheet. I am happy to change things around so we can make it work. Okay another update:

I got creative in the spreadsheet and a few people updated books read since yesterday.

Here is what we have left:
Zoe needs to read: Victorian Psycho, Vampires in the Lemon Grove, An Honest Man, and Descent
Ashley needs to read: Somewhere Beyond the Sea and The Two Towers
Kayla needs to read: The Kind Worth Killing
These cover the Reverse cards (and gangster in text) and one other card for Victorian Psycho.

We need to finish these cards this next week:
Two 6 (S)
One 5 (I)
One Skip (K or P)

Can everyone band together to get these done?

On the spreadsheet we have Cross the Line, Mail-Order Bride Mommy and Sword Catcher that will work for 6.
We have The Witness that will work for 5.
and We have Until it was Love, You Are Fatally Invited, The Love Haters, and Sword Catchers that will work for Skip.

Could you all just let me know if you can read/finish those by the end of the month? If not, maybe someone else can find a book that works! Thaaaank you!
