Kathy Broyles | 571 comments Level 2 Shelf: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

I'm afraid most of my books fit Halloween better than Valentine or St Patrick, but I found a few red, gold or green covers and a couple of romance novels. The only one I found with candy on the cover is about break ups. Oh, and Stephen King - his initials are in Shamrock! One book is about cats and I love cats so I thought it might be ok to list.......

Hey Kathy,
There isn't an set rule that the books have to be traditional fits for the theme! You can use any reason you want - even if is is that you want to read something out of the norm while you listen to Irish music or love songs...or wrapped up in a blanket with hearts or shamrocks or leprechauns!!! Lol

A couple of actions needed:

Teresa - your profile is private; so we can't see your shelf. Can you please friend your partner OR make your profile public until your partner chooses books for you?

Jonathan - you need to add a shelf to your signup post so that your partner can pick for you.

message 22: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3456 comments Mod
Partners have been assigned. (Post #2 above)

Your partner's shelf is linked on their name and the number of books to choose for them in in parenthesis after their level.

If your partner chose to have a bonus - Choose a book by YOUR favorite romance author for your partner!

Have fun!!

Erica, I'm happy to pick for you!

Looking over your shelf right now, will be back soon with picks.

I chose these 3, plus the bonus:
The Hidden Life of Trees What They Feel, How They Communicate Discoveries from a Secret World by Peter Wohlleben for a non-fiction read
Mrs Harris Goes to Paris & Mrs Harris Goes to New York by Paul Gallico because the cover is sweet and the story sounds really fun
Remainders of the Day More Diaries from The Bookshop, Wigtown (The Diary of a Bookseller, #3) by Shaun Bythell to help you further along into that series

Bonus:
Nora Roberts is one of my favorite romance authors. I don't see a lot of romance on your shelves, but I do see a lot of mystery so I'm hoping that you will enjoy one of her stand-alone romantic suspense novels. I recall rating it pretty low when I read it almost 10 years ago, but I don't recall what bugged me so much at the time so I plan to re-read it with a fresh perspective because a lot of people loved it so maybe it was my mood.
The Witness by Nora Roberts

All participants that hadn't picked were messaged to come by the thread.
Yesterday was the "pick by" date, so volunteers can now choose for anyone that hasn't had books chosen for them.

If anyone would like to volunteer - Please check post #2 for the links and the number of books to choose. (The emoji's mean picks were made for the person) - Teresa and Jenny are emoji-less and are awaiting books.

I have some things I have to get done, but when I get back, I will pick for anyone that hasn't yet gotten their books chosen.
