Es una novela para adultos y todos los públicos, yo la leí siendo una adolescente.
Creo recordar que el protagonista se enamora de la mujer del hombre que lo ha descubierto y lo cuida. Sufre por ello.

RESUELTO. Finalmente encontré el libro. Está descatalogado, pero lo conseguí de segunda mano. Se llama "La otra vida del capitán Contreras" y se lo recomiendo a todos.
