Andrea Smith | 120 comments My title "Loving Jesse" has a "pen name" associated with it that isn't accurate, therefore, it does not allow me to remove the bogus pen name, nor does it allow me to create an alternate edition sans the bogus pen name because it gives an error message that the author profile cannot be changed or some such reason. I do not write under the pen name of Greyson Blue. At some point a GR librarian assigned that pen name to me for reasons I'm not aware of. Can you please remove it (the pen name) so that I might create a new edition to my title and reflect new cover I have purchased for it? Here is the link of the book with bogus pen name. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Scott | 8632 comments Is it the same book as Sins of September? If so, it was originally published as by Greyson Blue and that name must remain primary.

Dobby (dobby0390) | 7858 comments This is not the correct folder for requesting edits to books. In future, please post those requests in the "Book & Author Page Issues" folder.

Excellent explanation, Scott. Thank you. :)

No - it is not.

No, the book was re-written totally. No pen name.

Scott | 8632 comments Re-written books are still the same book and remain linked with the original name.

The book cover displayed is the current cover on Amazon. This issue is closed.

I beg to differ. Here is the cover with non-existent pen name showing on Goodreads.

HERE IS THE CORRECT COVER AND AUTHOR NAME ON AMAZON: https://www.amazon.com/Loving-Jesse-F...

I would request an escalation to this issue. Thanks.

Dobby (dobby0390) | 7858 comments In Msg 7, Scott stated the Goodreads policy we are required to follow.

Here is the pertinent excerpt from the Librarian Manual:
In some cases, a book may be originally published under a pen name, but then later reissued under the author's original name. When this happens, the author listed for any and all editions should be the author name the book was originally published under - so the reissued edition would need its primary author name changed to the originally published pen name, with the additional name added as secondary for all editions with it on the cover. Doing this will allow the various editions to be combined.
