Annar’s flare finally sees it’s use as a group of mounted knights come out from the forest and form up around Druk and Ula, making sure to keep a steady pace as they drive off the Greatwyrm hatchlings and clear a path for Druck and Ula.
When the knights came Druk was relieved but also perplexed. Where did they come from and who sent for them? It was evident they were here to help from the path they cleared for Druk's horse. As Trush raced ahead Ferg followed until they were safely away from the danger that lay behind them.
“Sir, we saw the flare as we were patrolling the nearby areas. Did you do anything to cause the hatchlings to swarm like that?” The leading knight, his badge identifying him as a general, asks Druk before scanning the surroundings and gesturing for his warriors to spread out.
"I did nothing at all," Druk answered the general. "It was Annar. She was the one who shot the flare. I asked her what it was for, but she never told me."
Ula just held on to the barbarian, her eyes darting here and there at the knights who came out of the blue to save them.

“The flare just guided us to you, but I don’t have anything else.” The knight general continues riding alongside the pair. “We’re just lucky we didn’t wake the hatchlings’s mother.” ((I gtg, see you next time.))
[I'm thinking Wyrmwell Mountains would be a better place to continue. Do you want to play Ula or someone else?]
[Either one would be fine. It's your choice. Should I start my post on the Mountain thread?]
Druk cursed and Ula screamed as the mare took off, leaping over the Greatwyrms. She flew as if struck by an angry hornet and Druk gave the horse her head.
"Hold on!" He yelled over the panicked snorts and thundering hoofs of Trush as the mare charged up the mountain path; he looked back and saw Ferg doing his best to keep out of reach.
