For a variety of largely safety-related reasons, I am in the process of taking my legal name off my books and moving to a pen name. I know the general rule is that books don't get deleted. And frankly, I'd rather not lose the reviews and shelving that my books do have already. With my safety concerns, I'm wondering if there's any way to change the author name & covers for my books instead of adding a new edition since that would leave the old editions with my legal name up. I can provide updated copies of all old covers as well as current covers if that's needed to update all editions.

We would not remove the original name from the books. New editions can be added with the new name as secondary author.
As librarians we wouldn't be able to change anything as it's against policy. If an exception is going to be made (and there's no guarantee it would be) then the decision would have to come from staff. Here is the link to contact them.https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta...
