This is a fantasy world with signing similar to ASL. The deafness / signing isn’t a central theme of the book (since that’s not my story to tell) but has some impacts to the plot, so I want to make sure I’m treating the subject and characters respectfully.
Details on the book: 137,000 words. Pitch: a pious nun convicts an evil warlock of sorcery, then needs his help to break out of prison and save the country. No triggers.
