Introductions!

I'm Vick. I'm 23 and currently studying BSc Dietetics to become a qualified dietitian at Uni in South-West England. I'm from a place called Wiltshire and live near Stonehenge and the city of Bath (thinking of places known worldwide).
I've loved reading since I was about 5 years old. I started off on Enid Blyton and have worked my way up to enjoying a whole range of books. Favourites I have are Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden, Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson and American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis. I love a whole range of books though including YA, thrillers, fantasy, contemporary, classics etc.!
Can't wait to start talking to more people, you all seem a friendly bunch. Feel free to say hello to me. :)

My name is Irene and I am double majoring in Global Studies and English, and have a minor in Spanish. Reading is probably one of the things I love the most, and this is my first post on goodreads (that isn't a book review), and I'd really love to get to know you guys! It's awesome that there's a group for us college students, and I look forward to talking to you!
Please feel free to contact me - I'd love to talk to you about literally anything (:
Hello! My name is Olivia, 22 years old, and I graduated in May 2015 from the University of Vermont. I am currently an Academic Coach (tutor of a sort) for students with learning disabilities. I am currently reading the Magicians series by Lev Grossman. I am almost done with the Magician King, and while I am enjoying it, it is a little too similar to the Chronicles of Narnia. My favorite authors are Margaret Atwood and Ray Bradbury. While I love sci-fi novels, I also tend to enjoy YA series such as The Selection Series by Kiera Cass. I am excited to speak with others who enjoy reading as much (or more) then I do. :)

My favourite books? huh the list is long and still on going but here is the list containing few of them as follows: Psy/Changeling series by Nalini Singh, Lucky Harbor books by Jill Shalvis, FBI/Attorney series Julie James, In Death series by J.D.Robb, Sin Brothers series by Rebecca Zanetti,
My Favorite Mistake by Chelsea Cameron, Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout, All Lined Up by Cora Carmack, Wait for you by J.Lynn, Pushing the Limits series by Katie McGarry and Cinder by Marissa Meyer.
Favorite TV shows: Supernatural, Modern Family, Castle, Impractical Jokers and so on.
Favorite movies: I am really into the marvel movies right now, Some RomComs, Star Wars, and many more..

Recently I've been hooked on magical realism in general. I've started working my way through all of Murakami's work, but mostly my reading strategy is "whatever caught my eye at a used book sale".
It's hard for me to keep a favorite book or books in mind because they change so often! I'm always open to new suggestions and recommendations and I /love/ giving them in return.
Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like! :)

Hey! I'm not yet a fan of Dostoevsky, but I'm actually really glad you are, because I've been meaning to read him and I don't know where to start.

If you have any recommendations, feel free to hit me up! :)

I'm andreas, it can really be amazing to let books bring us to places.
I wonder, what kind of things do we discuss here?

This is Jai. I'm new to goodReads and I do read a lot of books. It is so wonderful to see how people engage here and I must admit that this group looks cool. Looking forward to be friends with you all and read quality recommendations that this group provides.
Thanks all!

I'm a junior in college and majoring in elementary education. Also, I work in a bookstore! I have loved reading since I was a little kid and my tastes in books have grown significantly. I will read almost anything and can name a favorite book/ author in almost any catagory.
I am currently rereading the Harry Potter series since I've been reading a lot of stand alones lately and wanted a really good series for a break.

I decided to start being active here & on twitter because I just recently discovered the readers community & I find it interesting ahaha help me get started?
Would love to talk to y'all! x

I'm Nicolle, I'm Colombian and I speak English and Spanish but I like English better lol.
I'm an obsessive reader, no joke books are life. And I love music too. I'd love to have more bookish friends cause you know, hard to find people my age who likes reading:3
I'm close to get in college, I'm graduating this year and I'll probably gonna study music or literature :)
So, if you just need a friend to talk about books, or basially anything I'm here (n.n)/
Glad to be part of the group :) Love♥ Bye

I'm Gian Kumar. I'm a spiritual author. A thinker by nature, the inherent confusion and dogmas underlying religion, gradually impelled him towards spirituality. Today, I'm deeply grateful for a journey filled with opportunities to learn about existential riddles such as: Who am I? What is my purpose in life? Is God an illusion? I hope to share my own experiential learnings with others through the medium of my books.
My Books

- Know Thyself
- Think From The Heart Love From The Mind
- The Ultimate Reality

My name is Jessica, I am 26 currently majoring in Health Information Technology. I've only ever read when it was required and im looking to expand my reading and maybe start a collection. Any recommendations?

My name is Scott and since last February I have found a love for reading! At 22 years old I kind of wish I found this love earlier, but here I am now :).
Over the last year and a half I was in a journalism program, but have realized it's not for me so I am going back to my original program in Humanities where I'll be completing the last two years of my Combined Major in English and Communications, and Minor in History.
I hope to get to know you guys! :)

My name is Tanaz Masaba. I live in Bangladesh and just got into college. My major is BBA in Marketing *wince* I'm a newcomer to this group so please excuse me if I go around asking stupid questions. Since a lot of people mentioned their love lives, I thought I'd say a little about mine: I have yet to meet the love of my life but I'm sure he's on his way.
I love reading all kinds of books but I usually end up reading YA Fantasy, Sci-fi, Sociology and Realistic Fiction. I recently created a blog and started reviewing books at www.bookishfreaks,wordpress.com
Hope to get to know you all! Feel free to drop a message any time. I promise I don't bite.

I'm Berta, I'm from Spain and majoring in International Relations. I'm really glad to have found this group where I could meet people with the same likes as mine. A year ago I began to be really hooked on books and I can read in both spanish and english through a broad variety of themes, but the ones I love the most are non-fiction and travel-based books. It would be great to meet people with the same afinities as me, as it is difficult to find people that read another thing apart from science-fiction...
Really looking forward to get to know new people and new books to read!

My name is Shealea. I'm from the Philippines, and right now, I'm hoping to finish a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. I joined this group because I recently started a book review blog (http://thatbookshelfbitch.wordpress.com) and I was hoping to find more people with the same interest. Basically, I'm looking for friends who love reading books as much as I do.

And whoa chemical engineering? You are one smart girl!

Nice to meet you Berta! I don't normally read non-fiction but I am a huge fan of Realistic Fiction which is close (I think). Have you ever read any Laurie Halse Anderson?

My name is Kathleen & I'm a 20 year old junior at the College of Charleston. I'm new to goodreads so not 100% sure how all this works but love to read and chat about books so I'm excited to hang out. I write a fair amount, but mostly more comedy screenplays and scripts as opposed to regularly formatted stories. Writing for SNL is my singular goal in life so we'll see how that works out.
Not sure what else I should put here, but hope to get to know some of you guys!

I like reading ,music and movies .hope one day traveling around the world.<3<3

I have NO time in my life. I get up, go to class and return to a family restaurant that's open everyday. That means I have no life outside of school, work, and sleep XD and would LOVE to meet some new friends! I'm am super shy verbally but on paper/internet I'm super chatty. Nice to meet!
Hello everyone. Not a new member, actually a moderator, but I haven't been on GoodReads for over two months and have totally slacked on keeping the group up to date.
I finally got around to updating some posts, creating some others, suggesting group reads for the missed months, etc. Please forgive.
Those that don't know, I am an accountant and we are knee deep in tax season. For some reason this one is hitting a bit harder than normal, so I am just muddling on through.
I hate that I don't have the reading time I normally do, especially with the new books I have been reading.

My name is Nicholas and I am a graduate student studying MA in International Studies with a concentration in Criminology. I'm an avid reader, and I'm currently reading "The Lucifer Effect" by Philip Zimbardo. I tend to review the books I read, so if anyone would like to check out my reviews, I'd love to hear any opinions on the similar read books. Looking forward to the group's reading challenges!

My name is Ryn and I am a college senior studying English Literature with a minor in French.
For the first time in years I am about to finish my major courses and will be able to read for pleasure again and I am looking forward to it SO much!
Other than reading I love games and am currently playing Life is Strange. I also love tea and coffee and crime documentaries.
I am currently reading "Welcome to Nightvale" but am eagerly awaiting the summer when I will be able to invest in some serious novels. All suggestions are welcome!

I am currently feeling very lost at university. I dont have a clear goal or purpose and feel utterly hopeless. I dont seem to be able to connect with anyone and feel like no one understands me or they will judge me if I tell them the truth.
I am desperately trying to find some solace in books and would appreciate any book recommendations for people going through the same predicament I am. Thank you :) Hope you are all having a lovely day.

I'm Ashley! I just turned 21 in March and I'm a junior at Georgia State University. Majoring in Journalism. I love to read and write but I usually don't read during the school year so I can focus on my work. The semester is about to end and I have a stack of books to read for the summer! Looking forward to it!
Nice to meet you all!

I'm Hannah, 20 and currently a junior, majoring in biological sciences. The Summer is coming up and I'm super excited to go back home and hibernate in my local Barnes and Nobles. Pretty much procrastinating at the moment so decided to catch up on reading because that's another way of being productive besides listening to Beyonce's lemonade album. Looking forward to being an active member and meeting you all!

My name is Jasmine and I'm majoring in Biology. I recently had a child so I'm attempting to do online classes for now while I stay home with her. I LOVE reading! My all time favorite series would have to be Harry Potter (yes I'm one of those). Can't wait to see what you all enjoy reading and hopefully make some new friends :)

I'm Marybeth and I just turned 21 this May. I live in the mountains of SC and am currently in my second year getting an associate in arts. I am looking at going to university to get my Bachelor's degree in graphics. I love reading, hiking, listening to rock music, hanging out with my family and friends, watching TV and playing video games.
Nice to meet you all!

I'm Liann, I turned 21 years old in June, and I will be starting a Masters Program in Marketing in the Fall. I used to read a whole bunch but after moving to college it was difficult to make time to go to a library to find books I like to read. I recently got Overdrive set up, so now I can read e-books from my phone which is nice!
I love cats, playing video games, and fun nights out with friends, especially when they involve catching Pokemon on Pokemon Go. (:
Nice to meet everyone, and I hope this group helps me discover lots of books that I love!
