I read a lot, last year--despite what my Goodreads stats say--74 books.
I like college a lot more than I liked high school.
Hi Jadi. I totally agree college is way better then highschool

When I'm not up to my ears in school work, I try to let my creative juices flow by writing, crocheting, beading, reading, or knitting. If those activities don't calm me down then I head outdoors with my dogs for a walk.

My name is Jocelyn. I am 19 and would be working on my sophomore year at WKU, however I am currently taking some time off. When I start back soon, I will be majoring in Art History.
This time off has allowed me to really focus on the things that I love the most such as reading and writing and French things.
:)

I'm graduating this spring, technically I'm still a college student :D This group seemed mildly perfect for me and my tastes..... I'm a business major in oregon, with a psych minor, and clearly, I love reading. But I'm not a quiet bookworm, I'm a loud one who loves singing and dancing and acting like an idiot. I am like 5 stereotyped characters rolled into one, because I love going out and doing the college experience, but I also love curling up with a good book alone.
Feel free to say hello :D

I'm Jenni and I'm from one of the nordic countries in Europe; Sweden. I'm 20 but turning 21 this september and I'm majoring in economy. Usually when i'm not doing some papers or having examinations I'll will be reading massive of books, everything from paranormal/scifi etc. to manga/manhwa :D I found this group by accident when I was browsing through a friend's group list and I found it interesting enough to join, so here I am.
But because I'm now in Shanghai and studying a course in chinese the frequency of readings have decreased, but I'm always finding ways to read some chapters a day. I think sooner or later I will become a bookworm xD (or already am)

I read a lot in English, because most of the time, I can't wait for a book to be translated before I read it...
I usually read 5-6 books at the same time (one in the bedroom, 2-3 in the living room and I always carry at least 2 with me.), which makes me a bookworm, I think...^^

My name is Mallory. I'm 22 and a recent graduate of the University of Florida with my Bachelor in French and Chemistry, and moving to Boston in the fall. I've always loved reading, and being an only child I often escaped to whichever world I was currently reading (to this day I still wish there was a Hogwarts and I would get an owl asking me to attend haha). This is my first experience with book clubs and such….I really don’t know why it took me so long to just bite the bullet and commit. I’m usually the one giving my friends recommendations on which books they should or should not read, and I find I’m constantly on goodreads anyways so why not join you guys and finally have people who love reading as much as I do give me recommendations?! I just finished reading “A Discovery of Witches” by Deborah Harkness (loved it) and the new Sookie Stackhouse novel, “Dead Reckoning”. Looking forward to our reading adventures!

I'm Hannah. I'm 20 and I'm from Leeds, England. I'm also new to this online forum / book club thing, but I wanted to give it a whirl!
I recently transferred onto the second year of an English degree at my university (courses are usually 3 years long in the UK), since I decided that I wanted to study something that I'm passionate about - books! I start my studies in September and, despite some nerves, I can't wait!
In general, I love books that can make me laugh, and I often read humour novels that have sci-fi or fantasy settings. My favourite authors include Sir Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Robert Rankin and Sue Townsend.
I also love the theatre and read plays quite a lot - two of my favourite playwrights are William Shakespeare (no, seriously, I read his stuff for FUN!) and Tennessee Williams.
I also love music and learning foreign languages.

I love reading all things fantasy and adventure especially epic fantasy, like Terry Brooks and David Eddings. I love art, music and nearly anything involving creativity and imagination.

I'm new to GoodReads and I'm excited to find as many new, interesting books as possible, so please feel free to add me as a friend! I'd love to see all of your book lists and get recommendations.

Im hoping to move to Sheffield in England to study Criminology at university this september.

Hi welcome. I have wanted to go to Ireland for a while, what is it like living there

I'm Tracey and I'm 21. Currently, I'm studying at my local CC and them I'm transferring to Portland State University to finish my English and Chinese majors. I love reading but I find that I have very little time for it these days. When I do find the time, I read a little bit of everything and I'm willing to look into any suggestions given.
Other than reading, I like writing, photography, doing mixed media art, making jewelry and music (listening and playing).

Not bad, if you dont mind the occasional rain, i must admit i do prefer Belfast better, as the nightlife and shopping are better, Dublin is quite an exspensive city but theres always something to see and do, i reckon you'd love it :)

I like reading fiction- mostly sci fi and fantasy but I'll read pretty much anything... I'm a major fan of dystopias right now, though.
I promise to be friendly, so if you want to get in touch please do!

Welcome! I too want to someday be a teacher and plan on going back to school for it soon. What are you wanting to teach? I want to be a preschool teacher?

I'm Valerie a 28 mother working her ass off at community college in Southern California to become a registered nurse then transfer and do the bachelors program with a minor in gerontology. I've been in and out of college since I was 17 so I kinda have made a career out of it, it seems lol

Hi everyone I'm Tabby. I am somewhere between a junior and a senior and in the process of my 3rd transfer (4th college in 4 years!) Hopefully this is the one! I'm going to be starting at Murray State University with a major in Veterinary Technology. I've been an English major for the past 3 years but it's just not for me. So I have a few more years to go. . .any questions about the transfer process or what counts as a good reason to transfer I'm your woman! :-)
