🥀Lexi (semi-hiatus) Ann🥀 | 1 comments Let’s prioritize my 2025 TBR… because this book buying habit needs to become a “read what you already freaking have” habit. Feel free to do the same and/or let me know what you thought about any of the books on my list. This is non-exhaustive, but a good start and only has books I currently own (or this would be an indefinitely longer post).

Duologies to finish (or start):

Flesh and False Gods, #2: Vilest Things -- Not too excited about this one, but I want to see the duology through.
Vilest Things (Flesh and False Gods, #2) by Chloe Gong

Secrets of the Nile, #2: Where the Library Hides -- Mostly because that cliffhanger *phew* ... Also anything Egypt basically has me by a chokehold.
Where the Library Hides (Secrets of the Nile, #2) by Isabel Ibañez

Prince of Sin, #1: Throne of the Fallen
Throne of the Fallen (Prince of Sin, #1) by Kerri Maniscalco

The Roots of Chaos, #1: The Priory of the Orange Tree -- This one.... a doozy but I have heard such amazing things.
The Priory of the Orange Tree (The Roots of Chaos, #1) by Samantha Shannon

Dance of Thieves, #1: Dance of Thieves
Dance of Thieves (Dance of Thieves, #1) by Mary E. Pearson

Series to continue:

A Court Of... I mostly need to see what the continued hype is about here. I have only read A Court of Thorns and Roses and was underwhelmed.
A Court of Thorns and Roses Series 5 Books Collection Set
A Court of Thorns and Roses Series 5 Books Collection Set (A Court of Thorns and Roses, A Court of Mist and Fury, A Court of Wings and Ruin, A Court of Frost and Starlight & MORE!) by Sarah J. Maas

The Empyrean, #3: Onyx Storm -- pretty sure this book is what is going to make or break the Empyrean series for me. If it is anything like Iron Flame, I am done.
Onyx Storm (The Empyrean, #3) by Rebecca Yarros

Books I have wanted to read for a while but just haven't:

The Picture of Dorian Gray -- a classic dark academia.
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue -- not emotionally ready for this yet.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by Victoria E. Schwab

Yellowface
Yellowface by R.F. Kuang

Masters of Death - I DNFed the third of The Atlas books (The Atlas Complex) but have heard such amazing things about this one!
Masters of Death by Olivie Blake

The Goldfinch
The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

Releases I am super excited about in 2025:

The Stonewater Kingdom, #1: The Knight and the Moth -- Rachel Gillig writes, I read. Enough said.
The Knight and the Moth (The Stonewater Kingdom, #1) by Rachel Gillig

Moonfall, #2: The Ballad of Falling Dragons -- you either loved or hated the writing in When the Moon Hatched (spoiler, I loved the writing).
The Ballad of Falling Dragons by Sarah A. Parker

Hot Wax -- anything M.L Rio, thanks!
Hot Wax by M.L. Rio

Other books burning a hole in my TBR:

The Eating Woods Duology, #1: Anathema
Anathema by Keri Lake

Nocticadia
Nocticadia by Keri Lake

Fae & Alchemy, #1: Quicksilver -- full transparency, this is the ONLY book on this list I do not own yet. Simply because the currently available cover is a no-go for me. I am not interested in the "face cover" one bit. So I am either rebinding it if I want to read it sooner than the hardcover release... or waiting for the special editions to come out.
Quicksilver (Fae & Alchemy #1) by Callie Hart

Lightlark, #1: Lightlark
Lightlark (Lightlark, #1) by Alex Aster

Mistborn, #1: Mistborn: The Final Empire
Mistborn The Final Empire (The Mistborn Saga, #1) by Brandon Sanderson

The Powerless Trilogy, #1: Powerless
Powerless (The Powerless Trilogy, #1) by Lauren Roberts
