What's in store for your group readings/discussions in 2025? Do you plan to do more or less of them than in past years? Are there specific ones you already have planned or are looking forward to (e.g., I think there's a group on Instagram tackling Proust this year)?

Greg | 310 comments I'll probably do the same as last year. I'll join as many group reads as I can fit in for books that are easily available for me in the right formats. I generally join in 3 or more group reads a month, and I pick and choose among the groups I belong to.

Hester (inspiredbygrass) | 141 comments I have a longstanding buddy read which began under lockdown and I really value . I'm also involved in three other group reads this year : Author Spotlight where we focus on reading most or all of the works of a single author , Trollope via The Trollope Society and a group read of War and Peace . I'm also in three Goodread groups , including this one , one of which focuses on short stories and the other on twentieth century novels . Now I write it down it sounds like a lot but , somehow , it's both manageable and enriching .

Franky | 203 comments My plans usually follow what Greg mentioned. I join different groups with different genres and try to fit various monthly reads in for that group if the book is available or I already own it. Also, I need to get some of my to-reads done!

Same here! I want to read more (something I haven’t been able to do as much as I used to while raising young children and now that they are older and becoming more independent, I have more flexibility to indulge my reading habit :). I plan to do that by joining a few reading groups, discussions and challenges. I am setting a goal to read through my TBR shelf (and to tidy that shelf by eliminating titles I may no longer be interested in reading). Happy reading to all!

Emmeline | 192 comments I'm trying to join fewer readalongs this year, in an attempt to stop impulse buying and tackle my TBR. I seem to have signed up for a couple already though...
