Džia ☾ (misspoppy) | 9 comments Do you love romances where the heat is mostly in the emotional connection? Or do you need chemistry that practically jumps off the page? Do you think steamy scenes are crucial to developing the characters’ bond, or can a love story thrive without them? 🥰✨

Also have you ever read a book that made you go, “Okay, this is just too spicy for me”? Or maybe one that made you wish it had even more? 🙈

Bonus question: Which book has the perfect spice level for you? (And yes, we’re adding it to our TBR list ASAP. 😉)

anai ♡ | 33 comments The Dreamland Billionaires series had the perfect amount of spice for me
but i’m ok with more or less
i love flurry romances too and i’m even trying to get into dark romance this year
I tried reading Twisted Love and hated it but the spice wasn’t the issue, i didn’t love the characters (sorry)

May ✿ | 147 comments The Windy City series is a good amount of spice for me but I wouldn't mind more. And as Anai said I'll also be trying to give dark romance a try this year!

Amelia (ameliareads247) | 18 comments My preference is a moderate level of spice (more than one scene), but I'll read all levels of spice.
Chemistry is a must for me, banter seems to really help that. I do prefer steamy scenes because it feels like you're missing part of the relationship without that for me.
I really enjoyed the Broken Kingdoms series and the Ever Seas series by LJ Andrews, the spice was a slow burn in the first but after it picks up I liked the amount.

ashley⋆˚𝜗𝜚˚⋆ (ahhshley) | 1 comments Honestly I used to LOVE spice like when over half the book was spice. But now I loveeeee a good yearning romance where the man is just obsessed with the MC and not so much spice. Maybe my frontal lobe is developing 😭😭

yeay | 16 comments I can probably read it all but If I read a book where the author needs to write spicy scenes just for me to know they love each other- immediately no

SAME, I've never thought it's too much
That being said, if it's just smut without any plot, I find boring

I have been reading dark romance and enjoy it but I love when the main character just loves the love interest without and spice so I read any.

Jennifer | 18 comments I agree with Alice, spice with no plot is a turn off.

I enjoy regular romance, and dark romance and I, too, don't think I've found my level yet lol

Grace Poudayel | 3 comments I like a build up with lots of spice 😅❤️‍🔥

Mari | 3 comments I’m okay with both, spice or less spice but the most important thing for me is the story. There has to be a good content or then I’m not interested.

Nina | 176 comments I’m good with all spice but like BDSM and dark dark romance is where I draw the line. Like I’m reading the Twisted series rn and thats a good level and I could read more than that. I’d say a book that I wish had a little more spiciness is Nothing Like the Movies by Lynn Painter
