Gee Williamson | 2 comments Looking to buy a kindle because I’m running out of space for physical books and want to be able to read easily on the go (I have a 45 min commute to uni) so wanted to see if it’s worth it

saoirse | 2 comments i just got mine a couple days ago and i love it! it honestly hasn’t left my side 😭 i think it depends if its “worth it” for how many books you read but seeing that you commute, it sounds like a perfect addition (i also have a long commute to uni!)

i’d say go for it since i also had a problem with not wanting to run out of my room with my shelves lol and im just obsessed with it rn

Gee Williamson | 2 comments Thank you for the advice!! What model did you buy? I’m defo trying to read more books this year too so I feel like it will help me with that as I can read everywhere

saoirse | 2 comments right! i’m trying to do that as well, i got the kindle basic (matcha color) it’s small but i love it ;; and i know others like the paperwhite but definitely watch some vids to see which would be better for you!

Lis ~Cheese Fairy~ | 8 comments I have a physical kindle (a couple years old), but I just end up using the kindle app for my phone. The app works well and I never have to remember any maintenance (not losing, keeping charges). I do like my kindle, and it was worth buying at the time, but it’s more practical for me to read one handed now (I have kids) lol. If you plan to have two free hands a kindle can be great! :)

lisa's bookshelf :) (lisaclds) | 5 comments Honestly I've had it for a couple months now and it helped me get through a lot of reading slumps. I love fantasy/romance books, but most of the time they are like 500 pages min. It feels less intimidating reading it on the kindle in my opinion. Plus if you commute, it's so practical. I use it daily.

May ✿ | 147 comments I have my kindle for a few months now and I actually love it!! I think it does make me save money because there are some books that I want to read but not necessarily buy… so it’s a good solution🤭 also it’s small and very light so it’s really easy to carry with you!
I usually like to read before I go to bed and when I read on my kindle at night it’s much easier because the screen is already lightened up so I don’t need another light in the room.
I definitely recommend🫶 especially if you read a lot!

Cam | 8 comments I've had mine for a year now and I absolutely love it, it's just so much more convenient you can take it anywhere and I feel like I read so much more. Also if you read like more than 1 book a month your saving money.

Brook (blepitre4) | 24 comments i’ve had mine for over a year and LOVE it!! if you read loads i recommend getting KU (personally i don’t have it anymore) and (we listen & don’t judge) i use oceanofpdf and upload epubs to my kindle from my phone and also fan fictions. so it’s quite nice to have them all on one device and stuff

madelyn:) | 14 comments i love my kindle, i got it for christmas last year and it’s so convenient. me personally, im a mood reader so im probably reading two or so books at once and its js not convenient to carry around multiple books. as much as i love having a physical book in my hands, kindle is really great. books are cheaper on there, even if you don’t have KU. it fits better if you have less space and you can download so much content onto it. definitely recommend; especially if you’ll have lots of downtime during commutes, breaks, etc.

Džia ☾ (misspoppy) | 9 comments I got a Kindle Paperwhite during Black Friday and I absolutely love it! Having all my favorite reads with me in one lightweight device is such a game-changer. Before, I used to read on my phone, but the battery life took a huge hit, which wasn’t ideal. The Kindle is so easy to use and the lightweight design makes it perfect for reading anywhere—whether I’m curled up at home or on the go. If you’re thinking about getting one, I’d totally recommend it. 🔮

Paola Torres | 1 comments i bought a kindle basic 3 weeks ago and i take it EVERYWHERE. i love it so much it’s so much more convenient than physical books and i can read in any position. i feel like i read faster cause the percentages and time marks feel like a game 😭 also i can’t physically see how much of a book i have left so it helps me not be lazy with long books. i love how small it is too and it was so fun to buy stickers and decorate it !!!!
