Does anyone else who also read the legacies of gods series wonder why Elsa and Aiden named their kid Eli?

Like Elsa I get, it's her brother and such, but for Aiden... He was literally tortured by Elsa's mom and repeatedly called Eli during that time. So why give your son that name
