๐ŸŒŒ Quest 2I: The Echoed War

Theme: Legacy vs Free Will
Tone: Mythic, multiversal, introspective

๐ŸŒ  Premise

The Weave you rewrote hums with impossible energy โ€” it stretches across planes, echoes through timelines, and reshapes reality itself.
But every time a mortal makes a choice, the Weave ripplesโ€ฆ and new versions of you appear.

One world where you broke the balance differently.
Another where you sided with the gods.
Another where you fell to the Serpentโ€™s venom.
Each reality believes they are the true Rogue Readers โ€” and now the echoes are merging.

The multiverse trembles as the reflections converge, each claiming the right to shape existence.
The final war is not between gods and mortals โ€”
โ€ฆit is between the versions of yourselves who made different choices.

๐Ÿชž Quest Goal

Confront your Echo-selves โ€” reflections born of every past decision you did not make.
You must decide whether to merge, erase, or yield your place in the Weave.

๐Ÿ“š Reading Tasks

Echo of Choice
๐Ÿ“˜ Read a book featuring alternate timelines, parallel universes, or โ€œwhat ifโ€ scenarios.

The Weave fractures into infinite strands โ€” every decision youโ€™ve ever made, every one you didnโ€™t.

Mirror Duel
๐Ÿ“˜ Read a book where a character faces their double, clone, or mirrored self.

You see your other self โ€” same eyes, same scars, different sins.

The Divergent Path
๐Ÿ“˜ Read a book where morality or free will divides a once-united group.

In the reflection, friends become rivals, ideals become weapons.

The Final Weave
๐Ÿ“˜ Read a book where unity, sacrifice, or fusion determines the worldโ€™s fate.

In the end, you must decide which version of you survives โ€” or if all will fade together.

๐Ÿ”ฎ Team Outcome Choices

Once the Rogue Readers complete the core tasks, the party must choose how the Echoed War ends.
Each path alters the Weave forever โ€” and carries its own set of trials.

๐Ÿงฉ Path 1: The Concordant Merge

All versions become one.
You accept every self โ€” the redeemed, the corrupted, the forgotten. Together, you are both harmony and paradox.

๐Ÿ“š Reading Tasks:
โญ Read a book where many become one (fusion, collective consciousness, shared identity).
โญ Read a book about reconciliation between rivals or enemies.
โญ Read a book where the ending represents balance, peace, or wholeness.
โญ Read a book where opposing forces coexist (light/dark, past/future, creation/destruction).

๐ŸŒ€ Result: Reality stabilizes. The Rogue Readers become the first truly unified mortals of the Weave โ€” the "One That Remembers All."

๐Ÿ”ฅ Path 2: The Singular Ascendant

Only one truth remains.
You destroy the echoes and claim reality as your own. The multiverse collapses into a single strand โ€” your strand.

๐Ÿ“š Reading Tasks:
โญ Read a book where a single person or faction triumphs over all others.
โญ Read a book with absolute rule, monarchy, or tyranny.
โญ Read a book where survival demands sacrifice of others.
โญ Read a book that ends in dominance or singular vision.

โšก Result: The Weave is purified but diminished. You stand alone โ€” ultimate creators and ultimate destroyers.

๐ŸŒ™ Path 3: The Surrendered Self

You let go.
You realize perfection requires sacrifice โ€” and step aside so another version of you may take your place.

๐Ÿ“š Reading Tasks:
โญ Read a book where a hero willingly relinquishes power or destiny.
โญ Read a book about legacy or being remembered through others.
โญ Read a book where someone fades, dies, or transforms for the greater good.
โญ Read a book where the ending suggests rebirth, renewal, or new beginnings.

๐ŸŒ  Result: You dissolve into legend. The Weave continues without you โ€” shaped by your echoes, guided by your myth.

Deanna | 337 comments Path 1 is fine for me. Up first, we need to each pick one of the core tasks:

Echo of Choice
๐Ÿ“˜ Read a book featuring alternate timelines, parallel universes, or โ€œwhat ifโ€ scenarios.

Mirror Duel
๐Ÿ“˜ Read a book where a character faces their double, clone, or mirrored self.

The Divergent Path
๐Ÿ“˜ Read a book where morality or free will divides a once-united group.

The Final Weave
๐Ÿ“˜ Read a book where unity, sacrifice, or fusion determines the worldโ€™s fate.

Trisha | 1269 comments I think my current read weirdly fits this one! lol
if it's okay, I'll take:

Mirror Duel
๐Ÿ“˜ Read a book where a character faces their double, clone, or mirrored self.

Trisha | 1269 comments I just finished the book and it did work - but would work for all the tasks, so if someone wants to trade, just let me know and I can switch it.

message 208: by Char (new)

Char | 298 comments My current book works for parallel universe. I did already read a book and update the SS, but I can switch it up if anyone else wants that task

Deanna | 337 comments I filled in a book for parallel universe.
