and Char, I hope your book is good!
🌌 Quest 2F: The Sundering Path
Breaking the balance doesn’t just free mortals from divine oversight — it fractures the invisible threads that kept reality stable.
The Weave now bends more easily, but it also tears more easily. Strange rifts begin appearing, letting through fragments of other realms, creatures that shouldn’t exist, and echoes of possible futures.
The Circle of Greater Powers may have turned their backs on you, but their absence has drawn the attention of something else — beings from beyond the known pantheon, eager to fill the void.
Premise:
You must navigate this new, unstable world of your own making and decide what kind of order (if any) will replace the one you destroyed. Will you stitch the Weave into a new pattern? Or let it unravel into something unrecognizable? Despite having the option to make your own decisions, you stayed united, so this will be a team decision.
🔀 Choice Paths
Path 1: Forge a Mortal Pantheon
You seize the opening in the cosmic hierarchy to create your own ruling council of mortals-turned-demigods.
📚 Tasks:
✨Read a book where someone ascends to godhood
✨Read a book with political intrigue or leadership struggles
✨Read a book with a council, alliance, or ruling body
✨Read a book with betrayal in the pursuit of power
Path 2: Rule Through Chaos
You embrace the instability and turn it into a weapon, ensuring no force — divine or otherwise — can ever control mortals again.
📚 Tasks:
✨Read a book where chaos or anarchy is central to the plot
✨Read a book with shifting alliances
✨Read a book where a world is remade or destroyed
✨Read a book where a leader is overthrown
Path 3: Rewrite the Weave
Instead of replacing the gods or leaving the world without order, you take the Weave itself into your hands and reprogram the rules of reality.
📚 Tasks:
✨Read a book where magic is rewritten or fundamentally changed
✨Read a book with reality-bending or time manipulation
✨Read a book with a dangerous experiment
✨Read a book with the creation of a new world or system

Do I need to write a story? I'm never sure if I just check in or if I need to write it all up - how can I tell the difference?

Usually, if a story is required, Donna says so when she posts the tasks
🌌 Result of Quest 2F: Rewriting the Weave
The Weave bends.
Not with a scream, not with a shatter — but with a slow, deliberate shift. The rules you’ve known all your lives falter, flicker, and then… rewrite themselves under your touch.
Spells don’t sound the same. Gravity doesn’t always pull the same way. Cause and effect sometimes argue before deciding who wins.
Across the realms, mortals awaken with strange new abilities. Some rejoice. Others panic. Wizards burn their grimoires, no longer recognizing the laws of arcana. Priests rage as prayers go unanswered. And in the cracks between realities, something new stirs — fragments of futures that were never meant to be.
You’ve not just broken balance. You’ve become its authors.
✨ Outcome: The Rogue Readers are now the first mortals to ever weave their will into reality itself. But every choice they make in this rewritten world could ripple outward forever.

🌠 Quest 2G: The Sundering Legacy
You’ve taken the Weave into your hands — but now the consequences are unavoidable. Entire factions, gods, and outsiders demand answers:
The Harpers beg you to stabilize reality before it collapses.
The Serpent Brotherhood believes your rewritten Weave is the key to summoning something far worse.
The Circle of Greater Powers may be gone… but their silence has opened the door for something older, stranger, and hungry.
Now you must decide what your rewritten Weave is for.
🌟 Branching Paths for Quest 2G
1️⃣ The Architects’ Path — Build a New Order
You use the rewritten Weave to stabilize a new structure for magic and existence, one that answers to mortals instead of gods.
📚 Tasks:
⭐Read a book with a society or system being built from the ground up.
⭐Read a book where laws or rules are rewritten.
⭐Read a book with a powerful artifact or foundation of magic.

📚 Tasks:
⭐Read a book with rebellion, riots, or uprising.
⭐Read a book where magic mutates or evolves unpredictably.
⭐Read a book where alliances break apart.
⭐Read a book with endings that bring more questions than answers.
3️⃣ The Outsiders’ Path — Answer the Call Beyond
The rewritten Weave draws the gaze of something ancient, beyond gods and mortals. They whisper promises of power, knowledge, and dominion.
📚 Tasks:
⭐Read a book where a powerful being speaks through dreams or visions.
⭐Read a book where mortals are chosen for something greater.
⭐Read a book with forbidden knowledge or cosmic horror.
⭐Read a book that ends in transcendence or transformation.
⚔️ Rogue Readers, you’ve remade the world. Now choose what it becomes.

Unfortunately I ended up DNFing at around 120 pages. I found it way too dull, and realize I don't care about any of the characters. So I spoiled..."
I don't blame you. it was a pretty slow read - especially in the set up. I read it with someone else and that helped me finish it!
I hope your next pick is better!
