mel ♡ | 8 comments I'm fairly new here and I really want to amp up my reading next year and I got the entire ToG series for Christmas. I'm still not done with acotar but I wanna jump into ToG right away. I don't know when to read The Assassin's Blade because everyone recommends a different reading order and I don't know if I should do the tandem read. Guys please help!!

✨sofia✨ | 666 comments I read the assassins blade at the end and then reread the whole series, and I wish I had started with the assassins blade instead of throne of glass. Definitely assassins blade!!

neerj | 100 comments assassins blade is kinda a prologue that js gives u background info but u don’t even have to read it

mel ♡ | 8 comments Thanks my mind is spinning so fast but I have a pretty good idea of when I'm gonna read Assassin's Blade now! My main issue is the EoC and ToD tandem read. It sounds so overwhelming but some people swear by it and others regret it. I don't wanna have any regrets while reading so I wanna know other people's opinions on the tandem read.

neerj | 100 comments i personally didn’t read tod cs i didn’t like the character the book is about

val3ri3luna | 23 comments I read assassin’s blade first and I felt more connected to the characters and I feel like I wouldn’t have if I hadn’t read it first. I also tandem read and i also enjoyed jt but I didn’t really like tower of dawn as much and just wanted to get back to the other book.

✨sofia✨ | 666 comments I honestly hated the character in tower of dawn but the book was really good and holds some key information that wouldn’t make any sense without reading it. Definitely read it

✨sofia✨ | 666 comments Also I would suggest a tandem read I didn’t do it but I feel like it would’ve made Tod faster

That's honestly so relatable

Ok, I'm definitely leaning more towards the tandem read because every just seems to despise this character and I don't wanna read an entire book following him, I wouldn't do that to myself. Thanks so much!!

Yeah, I've heard a lot of people talking about spoilers or something and I definitely don't wanna miss important plot points. I will probably end up doing the tandem read!

message 12: by Kay (new) - rated it 4 stars

Kay (cricket_reads) | 225 comments If you're looking for emotional damage then read assassin's blade fourth like the author suggests, but if you just want to read it for background info read it first. But one thing you should most definitely do is tandem read TOD and EOS.
