This is great!
It will be fun and challenging.
Does anyone have a way to promote the challenge aside from sneaking it into a Patreon post or a Facebook comment?
I think Thank You is not enough, you wonderful people. The ideas are great! Promoting the new challenge... I only did it last year on the Facebook group (I created a page for the challenge)... I think I didn't do much

Happy holidays to everyone!
I think posting on Facebook (FAHns group) it is a good idea, there were people there doing the challenge
Happy holidays
Happy holidays

LEVEL BARRY = 1 book
LEVEL AODGHÁN = 5 books
LEVEL DARREN MCCORMACK = 15 books
LEVEL ANNE FLANAGAN = 30 books
LEVEL GERALD = 52 books
LEVEL BROTHER MICHAEL = 75 books
LEVEL THE SNOB = 100 books

Lisa - Will you update the Facebook page (FAH Reading Challenge) from last year? https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... Or should there be a new page?
Thank you.

Thank you for the exchange here about all of your books.
I wish you all happy holidays, a good end of the year and a safe and healthy 2025!

Yes - Wonderful Holidays to everyone and good reading in 2025.

Wow! Sixty books is amazing!
(I am a slow reader. Without audiobooks, I'd be lucky to get through twenty books a year.)

I think it is better to make a new one, if anyone is willing to do that - I can write on the one I make: please move to this page for the next challenge, or something like that?

Oh, 60ish between books/audiobooks/ebooks - I managed to read 52 actual books in 2019 and I remember it was extremely difficult :S

Melissa, what would "making a new page" entail? You are already making something? I'd like to help if I can. (The 2023 FB page had so many fancy looking posts but no comments?)

_inbetween_ - I am not working on a new FB page. Please make one, if you have the time and talent.
I don't know if a FB page would get a lot of posts / comments, but it would help to promote the reading challenge.
I like the idea of a community built around the love of reading and love of FAH. It would be nice having readers comment about their reading journey, either here or on FB. I enjoyed what others in this group shared over the past year.

ETA: I tried to create a page, that would be easy, but for some reason FB doesn't let me get through with it.
Donatella, I agree, although I found out that even tumblr now has "groups", one base is enough, with links elsewhere.
I wonder if/how we could now share what we plan to read? As inspiration for others, who might not have an idea for some of the prompts? I for one would love to know.

Someone on Facebook mentioned Tumbler, which I downloaded but don't have a lot of familiarity with. If Lisa had a page on Facebook for the reading challenge, I can try to open a page as well and see if it lets me. If Facebook didn't let you do this, I might run into the same problem, but I'll give it a go and report back ...

That was initially complicated by the fact that I have to use my phone. Every time I log in on a computer, I realize I forgot my password. Dear heavens, I hope I get it together in 2025; 2024 was miserable.
There is now a Facebook group called 2025 FAH Reading Challenge. I set the privacy to "private" only to avoid spam, but I can change that.
I'm struggling with Tumblr, but also made a 2025 FAH Reading Challenge group there as well. The privacy is different; only members can comment on posts. ... Looking for a public image to decorate that and Facebook without violating copyright laws. I could take a picture of the books in the basement, but it's horrifying. :)
If anyone has suggestions or wants another community, etc., please let me know how to facilitate. I can also try to do what Lisa did with the Facebook monthly posts to see if that might inspire more to join. Those posts were always great fun and made me add a ton of books to "to be read" lists! :).
I don't want to overstep. If I'm doin g something you don't like, please let me know. No offense will be taken.
Happy New Year!

Drama - I found the group and put in a request to join. https://www.facebook.com/groups/16493...
FB is the only social media I do. I understand people's reluctance to join if they're not on GoodReads or FB.
(I log most of my books on The StoryGraph, but they don't have chats and the site can be buggy. When I have a chance, I should add the 2025 challenge to The StoryGraph.)
_inbetween_ - I think your page will help advertise the group and get others involved.

I know that only too well, I can't access my bank account for months due to the required three different passwords, and now all these now accounts for FAH ...
Once again your post hadn't been visible when I created a tumblr account. I can't actually find yours, so I'm wondering if you can see mine, linked in the previous post?
I have also sent a request to your FB group :)

Thank you! I’m sorry for the 6-7 posts in Facebook. I couldn’t get the list to print in one post and had to separate it out - in case any new members didn’t have it already.

The StoryGraph has a clean and basic format. There are no banners or advertisements. On The StoryGraph, you can mark off prompts and add books for reading challenges.
This is last year's reading challenge. However, the link didn't work for everyone. (I was the only one who participated on The StoryGraph last year.)
https://app.thestorygraph.com/reading...
I use GoodReads for my physical and ebooks and The StoryGraph for audiobooks. On The StoryGraph, you can add covers and editions, which GoodReads stopped allowing a while back. (You have to go through a librarian now.) I'm really particular about having the corresponding cover for the audiobooks I read.

Sorry, it's been a while since I last checked in.
I haven't gotten around to doing anything with the reading challenge on The StoryGraph. But, like you, I think most people are okay using GoodReads.
The StoryGraph has some nice features such as tracking how many pages you read (or hours you listen) and what genres you favor. The StoryGraph will graph a ton of data for you on the free plan. It's cute.
GoodReads has other strengths, such as in exchanges like this.

Yes :)

Unfortunately, I don't have any influence to ask FAH to pin it on YT.

(Melissa, do you know if you are "relevant" on the FAH feed, aka if your comments are visible to people? I know that after all this time I'm still being hidden in their posts by FB, just interested :))
Here is the 2025 Reading Challenge List! If you'd prefer a cleaner copy, please let me know how to send it to you. :)
