It sounds fun. Is this a standalone, or is it linked to one of her series? I haven’t read anything by her yet. I have Bellwether on audio (until 12/31) and the weird mix of topics sounds intriguing atm.
This is a stand alone short story. It might have been a kindle/prime freebee. I'm not sure how I acquired it. She's also got a Christmas collection out there. I was wondering if this story was included in that book.
I love Connie Willis. I have this story on my Want to Read but wasn't sure where to get it. I have read her Christmas collection, anyway one of them, and I don't think it was in there.
There is a Christmas collection on Audible plus, A Lot Like Christmas. Ii just downloaded it, and it doesn’t include a list of stories. I might find a list in a review.
Turns out there's a list in the book blurb.A Lot Like Christmas
Thanks for the audible plus hint. It's on my phone now.
Thanks, I'll plan to listen to it also! For those not on Audible or not liking audiobooks, the Kindle book is 4.99.

Awesome thanks! It’s 22 hours total, so I’ll skim reviews to try to identify favorites. I can’t read that many short stories in a row.

Cute and full of nostalgia. Remember Woolworths? I do. So does Grandma Elving. Have you ever gotten stuck listening to the repetitive memories of an aging relative? Same stories over and over? That’s Grandma Elving. Worse, she isn’t actually Ori’s grandmother.
Not that it matters. Grandma’s memories make her the perfect research subject for the handsome, charming Lassiter. And, Ori does need a part time job….
Beware the devious machinations of elderly grandmothers.
